With this logic, why advertise your games at all?
There will be a glimpse of Asari chest hair on N7 day, that's for sure.

Even before asari beard and mustache? Isn't it too early right now?

That's what they get for mating with those dang Yahg - puts a different spin on what went on in the Lair of the Shadow Broker. ![]()

It's called a "décolleté". And it'd be easy to spot there for a keen and schooled eye.
I am hoping (yea...I know...I am one of those idiots who live in disappointed anticipation) that they will begin to feed us information at PAX. N7 day is cool and all, but if they wait until then, they will miss all the cons...which from a marketing/hype standpoint, just makes no sense. But...what makes sense these days?
Ugg..
Your opinion makes sense to me OP. Is bioware/EA looking for marketing hires?
The logic behind N7 day reveal is inescapable (and a lucky coincidence):
With those launches done, when's the next convenient marketing release day?
Simple...
Does Bioware / EA really want to have their Andromeda reveal on N7 day? That's one day before the presidential election.
Not really going to get much attention.

At least it'll give something for the adults to look forward to after the long lines at the polls (assuming they didn't just mail in their votes).
November 8th is clearly the superior choice.
But seriously though, in all the noise of E3 there's a lot of competition for headlines. Isn't it better to have a day to yourself?
I don't think Mass Effect blows most other games' followings out of the water. When you have a game with this following, it will blow the competition out of the water. Most other games wouldn't get attention (which is why EA won't let them show mass effect until Titanfall comes out)
So, why show it to your fans instead of expanding? Most interested in gaming will see E3 trailers.
They won't Google mass effect andromeda every day, or know to look for it on November 7th.
I must confess, I didn't even know N7 day existed until I heard about it on bsn, and I never understood what was so special about N7. I mean in the game you spend 1 mission as N7, then you are a Spectre.
So I never understood some peoples obsession with N7. And in extension the N7 day.

They don't have to Google every day or know about Nov 7. They'll see it on the front page of IGN, GameInformer, Gamespot, etc. Depending on their search history, it'll show up on their Facebook newsfeed, on the YouTube and Amazon homepages.
I honestly thought it was pretty huge, it seemed to win so many "best game" or "most anticipated" game awards that I guess I mistook a loyal following for a large one.
The point is is that E3 gets so many more hits because everyone knows interesting stuff is coming out then.
Because they wanted time to close down the forums before they revealed their new action shooter game with 50 shades of grey planets to choose from;)
Maybe because they want to surprise us and it's N7 day.

LOL, Skar.
No more Bio surprises for me, thank you very much.
I love the franchise and I love strong N7 days. But wouldn't a singular character, maybe a squadmate reveal be better for N7 day?
On N7 day: all the big fans of mass effect who are probably going to buy the game anyway will watch.
On e3/gamescom/other gaming events: many gamers will watch it, including the fans of mass effect who aren't as in-tune and won't know about N7 day. But most of all, the new fans that the series desperately needs to continue to succeed. They can't keep the same audience. They could advertise their exploration by actually showing it to everyone, not just the biggest fans, and grow their fan base.
I just feel like this will not spread as well as it would if they showed it on a more gaming-loving day than just mass effect holiday.
Is it officially official that the official reveal with be revealed on N7 day............officially?
At this point I am not sure what there marketing plan is, but N7 is a day Mass Effect fans would tune in and since a good chunk of the major releases will be out by then. Maybe the thinking is that between all the game sites and the fans it will spread around the internet since it will be a major reveal when most games are already out or about to come out soon.

Official conformation of what races are going to be in the game, seeing a squad member or two and actual gameplay (10-15 minutes of landing on and exploring a world or two) would do it for me.

Sounds like a plan they'd come up with.
Lets scatter the fanbase and split them into disunited mobs who cant follow our progress.
That way they can spread the word better.

Well, their marketing and plan for Andromeda has not been great. I am all for waiting and doing a big info drop for the game but you can't do that 2 years after the game is announced with basically no info in between. If you going to do that, do it when the game is officially announced like Fallout 4 did.
Your right, it will not spread as well since everyone here will not be in once place and talking about the game, but it will eventually spread, just slower.
