Oh that's what you meant with that Alliance/paladin comment... Condolences. :(

Thanks. My husband only got into Dragon Age himself last summer after finding out about all the smexy mods. Finally, after all these years we could discuss the intimate details of the game, though, I think his mind was on "other" things to be honest.

I started my Twitter back in 2011 for the sole purpose of following Casey Hudson for ME3 news. I still only use it for news and tweeting random stuff I like, but that's about it. It's NOT a place for a conversation.

Conversations are toxic

Yes, close BSN.  Because this will solve everything. I am angry at this decision. Facebook is NOT place for mass big discussion about games !

And some people don't use Tweeter. Not to mention those events you mentioned as one of reasons for closure ? I surely don't see you coming to Poland at all ! -.-

Like EVER !

And WHERE I will get a tech support for Dragon Age Keep which has issues !

I posted topic on BSN, then I contacted EA support since this is the only support which I can get .. and they redirected me here !

Here ! To place which you gladly will destroy not matter how deep and better is this page in comaprision to ANY Tweeter, Facbook or YouTube account !

Where will be Dragon Age Keep Technical Support !? Because even guys at EA Help don't know this !

I can't begin to describe how mad I am at this decision. Close comparision is this - the original ending of Mass Effect 3 in 2012 !

Twitter is such a sh***y medium for conversation. A complete one way tunnel of self-aggrandizing and narcissistic posts seeking for the highest amount of retweets and likes. I literally just quit it a month ago just to come here and find that this company is forcibly U-hauling their community over there. Lol, you're never going to make good games again BioWare if you are actively avoiding an appropriate medium for conversation and discussion about your products.

So in the end this is your choice and it's up to you, but I don't know. For many myself amongest them, the first reaction when your looking for information on a game as it nears release is the companies website, and indeed, as Inquisition neared I checked these forums. I saw many wonderful threads that collected various bits of information, put together by the fans, and done so thatthey where often spoilered so if I didn't want to know something in particular, well I was safe.

I don't have the urge to go looking through Reddit (A service I don't use) I use Twitter but... yeah.  it's not exactly a hive of information, Facebook... No just no. I don't get out to conventions, so that is a no...I think this is a mistake, I think it underplays the simple use that a games 'official' forum has as a place people check first, before they go searching through Twitter, or Reddit. I think this is a mistake, as I said but in the end whatever, I guess I'll just get less hyped I'll still end up buying.

I feel your pain. Especially since The Dragon Age Keep for Origins appears to be read only now. You can't delete wardens or add new ones, and they're faceless, but, hey you can always just use the defaults, much more personal.

I still not sure they want to "talk" at all, soundbites do not equal actual conversation.

I really wonder HOW they will even got slight images of what their fanbase actually wants from them in future games. None of those - YouTube, Tweeter, Reddit or Facebook are suitable for such things. You can't write a long tyrade about detailed problems which won't drown under many silly and stupid comments or replies there ! The creators even will have NONE chance to read all of them to not miss your opinion.

Facebook is NOT place for sharing opinion or having discussion with many at the same time. You are silenced by liking requires of top commenting.

Tweeter is NOT place for conversations. Your voice is silenced there when it's drowns in tons of comments.

YouTube is NOT place suitable for any describes or discussion - it's place where is always a flame-war on comments.

I don't have any idea how Tumblr looks but I heared things which also giving me feeling that this site is also NOT FIT to replace BSN.

I am having issue with carshing of Story Mode for DA II. For last TWO MONTHS.

As for Origins problems did you read Feedback for Keep ? I wrote few comments describing how to deal with Warden portraits issue. Especially if you play on pc.

They said we could use twitter. Hmmm. I decided to test this and tweeted one of my posts, it was from a DA4 thread. https://forum.biowar...-iv/?p=20377284

I sent it/them to @bioware. That account is under the name I use for most gaming related stuff, Norstaera. I have tweeted a total of 24 times, 18 of them were used to tweet this post. Twice a single sentence had to be continued into the next tweet.

I finished about two hours ago.

So far, no response. My guess is I won't get one.

I deliberately opted for a previous post unrelated to the closed forums announcement. It was one of my shorter posts. My purpose was to highlight how ridiculous? unhelpful? limiting? twitter is for many of us. Dunno, maybe it just comes off as passive/aggressive. Or maybe it just shows that I'm old. *sigh* In either case, it's done now.

They probably blocked you.

Just weird how they're closing the place with the most control so they can instead be in places with the least control

I assume because they'd rather just not control anything

That or they like block features over suspensions/bans

You don't say.

Unfortunately I cannot manually load their portraits because The Keep insists I have no "custom" heroes, except the 51 they have somehow found from 2010...for me, that is way too many characters ago. No I am sure it will be fixed any day now.

In fact, I am pretty much camping here every day until August 25th or until the decision is reversed.

I would never have guessed you were into cartoons. However, I think Daffy is older than that...and...this seems to be the perfect time to tell everyone to grab a tissue...because, closing down these forums is...despicable.

Lol, nice one. Daffy's my favourite Looney Tunes character, and also a reference to my favourite Babylon 5 character, Garibaldi. But growing up in the 80s and 90s has forever shaped my view of cartoons, TV shows, films and comics. Games on the other hand, my golden period is more 97-06.

No "custom" heroes ? Well that's awkward glitch. 51 characters ?!  :o  You must really love old DA O then ...

But where is the tech support for Keep anyway which would finally got us both this time some help !?

I want to see how it looks like when Bethany is Warden ...

Have you tried to go through without imported decisions. Just make the decisions from that mode as you go and then let The Keep fill in the tapestry for you. I know we all want our decisions to import but honestly I think the "syncing" part has been haphazard from the start.

Still I would be very much remiss if I did not say how much I truly appreciate the effort to keep track of our decisions that BioWare made. They did not have to afterall, I still would have played Inquisition without it. It would not have meant nearly as much to me, still, I would have played nonetheless.

Well then your Hawke has to be a warrior or rogue, obviously. You can skip the whole story mode and just manually pick the tiles, or did you still want Varric to narrate it anyway in The Keep?

Oh, 51 characters is nothing, I am sure I have hundreds, not counting the ones who I created, went into the sun, and I said nope...try again.

I do not know where tech help for The Keep is other than here. I always come here.

@ thedancingdruid - Oh no, Christian Hawke was male dual wielding rogue who romanced Isabella so of course it was available for him - this Bethany fate. I did it in game after all.

I did beat games. In fact I checked Keep story mode for this world state like: after DA Origins, after DA II, after DA Inquisition.

And it NEVER played correctly after DA II because of Deep Roads Expedition freeze.

Nah, 51 characters for me is actually impressive because we are speaking about Origins.

And Nor knows how much of a torture for me is everytime playing Origins. But what can I do for more reasons to play Dragon Age II ...

And yes I tried to recreate World State without any import. Still was freezing. I thought it was mess with choice for Bethany being Warden but when I changed into Circle Mage it crashed as if I didn't do anything. On the same point of Expedition ..

SDCC is the San Diego Comic Con. Which is huge. We are con-goers. We go to two cons a year, neither of which are SDCC. One is a small lit con and the other is Dragon Con. Dragon Con is also huge, but BW rarely has much of a presence. When they do show, they get mobbed. But even if they do go to a DragonCon, the odds of me getting in the room are next to nil. So by going to the con, they can be heard by maybe 100+ fans and interact with maybe tens of them.

Ah, okay. I've heard of San Diego Comic Con but didn't associate it with the initials. So demand is pretty high for Bioware-related events and displays at conventions? I wasn't sure how big of a name they were in the larger universe of fandom.
