So, you gonna actually challenge them or...?

I've already ranted about it thousands of times before. I meant challenged as in simply countering your statement with an equal statement. Remember, you didn't go into details either. It's good enough.

Wait, you're saying the current state of SWTOR is with them even pretending to care about what the players want? Jesus.

I still pay for a sub because I'm a pleb

I'm sort of confused by your post, but I'm chalking it up to my brain not functioning right since I am exhausted XD  You are saying that they don't care or pretend to care now, correct?

I'm saying that they don't care now and will care even less in the future. Although, admittedly, I know a very minimal amount about the current state of the game and a lot of my saltiness is due to how they abandoned their old plans for the story and that when my level 50 Chiss Smuggler got stuck on his ship, support did nothing for me.

Vroom is a fan of good stories, but everything I've gathered from the 2015 E3 trailer sounds ridiculous to me,

Spoiler

Yeah, I'm saying if the current state of TOR is them actually putting effort into it, it doesnt bode well. There hasnt been really any group content in a year or so, just short mediocre story bits every month.

This is terrible. I don't want to talk about Bioware games on Facebook and whatnot. Why would I go there when Bioware already established this site?

AND THEY SCREWED UP THE DIFFICULTY WITH THE STEAM VERSION AND THAT FORGOTTEN DLC. NOW I SHOULD PLAY ON EASY AND THAT'S BS! IN THE GOLDEN OLDEN YEARS I COULD HANDEL HARD DIFFICULTY WITH SOME EFFORT NOW THEY HAVE 300 SOLDIERS WHEN I BARELY CAN HAVE 30 SOLDIERS.

I gotcha now. I figured that's what you were saying but then your comment about paying for a sub confused me (not knocking on that, that's your decision and money and I respect that). I played SWTOR for a year and a half to a couple of years, from launch day. They kinda got on my bad side right away with all them server merges, saying the class story content wasn't sustainable as early as the Rise of the Hut Cartel expansion despite that being a major part of their promotion for the game, and then scrapping their original plans in regards to the Sith Emperor

Spoiler

Also, giving him a new voice actor as opposed to sticking with Pinhead from Hellraiser, that didn't sit right with me. Final straw from this Collector's Edition buyer (I have buyer's remorse, please don't verbal jab me about it) was when they announced Free to Play. Oh, and launching without a group finder!

So, I agree with you and would have agreed with you as early as four or five years back, haha.

Glad I pretty much stopped coming from here altogether after off-topic was closed (and wasn't even visiting much then), so that I don't really have anything invested in the forum closing now.

IMPOOSIBURU. NOT ENOUGH RESOURCES TO DO THAT. AI IS CHEATING AND IT DOES IT REALLY FAST. MY UNITS ARE ENOUGH TO DEFEND MY CASTLE FOR THE FIRST PHASE OF ATTACKS, NEXT PHASES? YOU'RE FINISHED. GOOD LUCK DEFENDING YOUR TOWN WITH SKIRMISHERS, HILBERDIERS AND HUSSARS.

I CAN WIN CIVILIZATION V ON EMPEROR DIFFICULTY, AND I HAVE MY BIG PERSIA EMPIRE IN CK2, BUT THIS NEW AOE2 IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION.

Look at all that money turning to ashes. Just look at it.

It's the same feeling I have everytime I go check my bank account by the end of the month.

The not happy moment that follows when you realize that Bioware has decided that in a couple months, both those counts will vanish completely.

Just posting to say thank you, Bioware, for the forums.

I remember way back chatting on the older forums about the original KoTOR, then much later on the new software here. There have been good discussions, silly ones and annoying ones. It's been fun.

Thank you to all the Bioware personnel that have interacted here over the years. I've always found you reasonable and pleasant to interact with. And given I pretty much adore your games, it almost felt like interacting with a 'rockstar' when a dev would quote and answer a post of mine. Kinda silly, I guess. But thank you!

My last active streak here was with DA:I and it's multiplayer. That was a fun group.

Well, see ya 'round the Inrwebs. :-)

Well one thing I can take from this whole experience as an up-and-coming developer is that if people dislike my product/give me criticism in anyway I can just delete their posts, reviews and have their accounts closed! Thanks for the very obviously non-toxic suggestions Bioware team.

All the Bioware employees looking at this thread and all our dirty, negative words we have to say about Bioware. All the negativity... the toxicity... all the vitriol pooling in this thread. Those Bioware people are probably like "See? SEE?"

Well guess what: this is not without reason. Look what you did. YOU did it. You said "bye Felicia." You mishandled all the exceptions. Don't use this as proof. Acknowledge the effects of the causes. It is consequence. *gestures*

These Glassdoor reviews only confirm what most of us has long since suspected. It is now crystal clear why Bioware considered these Forums toxic. We had the temerity, the unmitigated gall to disagree with their "genius". We lowly ignorant plebeians have dared to question their artistic brilliance for far too long, as if their reaction to ME3s outcry didn't make this obvious enough. Bioware is dead, and it has been for years. The thing that has limped on with Biowares name is akin to a wounded animal that needs to be put down out of mercy. totallynot!Patrick Weeks made this clear years ago, but no one was willing to believe those words, and just accept the official story that his account was hacked. But I knew, I knew as soon as I saw that link the truth in those words. Caesy and Mac fully believed a single page doodle with the words "Speculations for Everyone!" underlined 3 times was artistic brilliance. That literally ripping off the ending to Deus Ex was ingenious. How this didn't give more people warning signs back then I will never know.

This only reaffirms what I said earlier in this thread. That I will never again buy a New copy of any future Bioware game, and might pass entirely if reviews from people whos opinions I respect are negative. I am more convinced than ever that MEA will be a total train wreck, and will be the final nail in the coffin of their own making. As much as I don't really want that to happen, it seems like an inevitable end to this story. I became emotionally divorced from this company after ME3, but I continued to foolishly hope they would realize their mistakes and right the ship. Oh what I fool I was for thinking that now. I emotionally said goodbye a long time ago, but now this is the physical goodbye Bioware, this is The Big Goodbye, to quote TNG.

Thank you for KOTOR, for Jade Empire, for NWN, for Baulder's Gate, for Mass Effect 1, for Dragon Age. Thank you for the many wonderful years of joy and entertainment. Now however those days are over, as is my relationship with you. Not that it matters anyway, since we were all apparently too dumb and childish to understand those epic masterpieces anyway, because we are but scum on your shoes compared to your obviously superior creative brilliance, like "The cave" and enemies dropping down from the sky for no reason, which you all defended far too vehemently to be taken seriously. My only hope is one day, you look back on these actions, and finally realize what childish nonsense your behavior was. Farewell Bioware, I wish I could say it's been good, but frankly, it hasn't been good for a long time now.

Hey, hey, now, let's not jump to conclusions here.  We don't know for absolute sure they ripped off the ending to Deus Ex.  They might have actually been ripping off the ending to Transformers: Beast Machines.  Assuming they were ripping off something good might be giving them too much credit.

My prediction.

I have seen these things so many times and it is no coincidence we have not heard about any other titles other than ME-A in a long time. ME-A will be the last title released under the Bioware name. (If that even) After that,  EA will take over and that is why they are closing the forums. EA has it's own forums.

Their behaviour combined with letting so many people go is a redundancy thing. They are simply cleaning house and getting ready to shutter Bioware, (Even if a lot of people at BW don't know it yet.)

You may scoff but from it really looks like this when you add everything up.

That being said, please come join us at my Dragon Age / ME fan site! We have over 200 members and most from the past three exoduses from BSN. So we have some old timers as well as new fans!

We have no ads! No limit on likes! And allow mature content!

Come take a look!
