Way back in 2010 I joined just to be able to download a couple of DLC, and after a while I lurked a bit, decided to post here and there. Ended up being quite active in some roleplay groups I even talk with one of those guys almost daily through skype. I may have lurked more than I posted but that was because of living in Europe, by the time I woke up and logged in new threads already had several pages and usually I just didn't feel like posting "I agree with x, y and x posts." just give them likes.
But even after BSN turned into the Bioware Forums, and the Off-Topic was closed I still felt this sense of community. We have our injokes, our discussions, our reckognizable faces...not to mention the actuald discussions. Pages and pages speculating about lore, trying to get everything out of trailers, talking about a single character of a game, etc. Sure, some youtube videos are easier to get through and take less time, like Biofan's, but if you really wanted to get into it this was the place.
I, and from what I've been reading many, didn't come here to talk to developers. We came here to have in depth discussions about your products (yes, products, because aside from videogames there are also novels, comics...) in a place that is user friendly and doesn't limit how much we can write. The original intent may have been to be a place where developers could talk to fans and viceversa but this site grew, and that became an extra, increasingly rarer, feature.
And well, if this is it, to all the people I've met. Thank you for the great times, even if we didn't end in good terms, and things sometimes do, thank you for the memories. Also, thank you Dean_the_Young and Ieldra, since I often looked at your profiles to seek out interesting discussions and you usually participated in those and made it sometimes easier to search the forums that way instead of just clicking any new thread, specially when I didn't have much time.
