There is still time to change that, mwahahahaha

tumblr_lgslykEox31qdp3rbo1_500.gif

(I couldn't find the gif that I wanted because life is hard sometimes, but Vroom was going to post a gif of either Cobra Commander or Shredder shaking his fist at you)

Should have gone with Shredder, to be honest.

Try harder next time!

If Vroom had any applicable skills, Vroom would have photoshopped the Cobra Commander blastshield over Shredder's helmet and repainted his armor to be blue and grey so that the best of both worlds could be had. Vroom's art skills leave much to be desired and may have been responsible for the death of many:

Just my luck. I come back after a while (blame work, studies... and Europa Universalis, that game will ruin your life), only to discover that my favourite forums are going down.

Not enough sad faces in the world  :(

Also, why am I not surprised that people are discussing almost every bad detail about BSN? Ah, the traditions. But sometimes I wonder if people haven't explored Reddit or Tumblr long enough.

Still, I'll always remember the Mass Effect 3 ending's polemics (remember when even The New Yorker wrote about Bioware fans? Good times). And the neverending discussions about mages and templars. And the virtues and sins of the Qun. The multiplayer. The Elf Discussion threads ending up closed in one way or another. The theories about every new game before they were released. The cancelled pre-orders. And so many intelligent, not-so-intelligent, friendly, not-so-friendly, appalling and hilarious posts.

I'm going to miss this site. For better AND for worse, it had its own distinctive personality. Love you, BSN

No it was intended to read as fans accusing me of censorship, not me being censored from my own company.

Regardless of where I am, I wont be violating my NDA. I consider some of the stuff I post to be more open than most companies will go.

Brojo would you consider joining up on Cyonan's BSN site? You were always a cool guy to us MP scrubs, you're more than welcome.

I am sorry you are having this problem and cannot find any answers. This is so not my area of expertise...does anyone here think it would help if you reinstalled The Keep, maybe it is a glitch in the file somehow and not a glitch in The Keep itself. I have no idea. I guess it's not really a program is it. Have you tried it on a different device perhaps? I did playthrough myself without an import recently and the story mode played fine.

On a brighter note, you don't need new reasons to replay DA2 or any reason, for that matter. I am doing that right now.

Yeah I know. I still hope that BioWare help to Keep is somewhere here. I still look after official BioWare's Tech Support for Keep here  :(

I tried on different browsers, and no Keep is not program only site so I cannot reinstall it at all.

But about Dragon Age II I usually play it as repeats for all three Hawke's of mine. Also I always play it after Origins, if I want to do completly new Hawke - like I did last time with Christian - I have to pass Origins first with yet another origin of Warden, and I don't really like idea of romancing Leliana there :D

I think I will replay mine mage or just for the 7th time I guess Eloise ... I have this weird problem with Fenris being ultimate crush of mine there.

That's why almost any other romance option is just over shadowed  only Isabella somehow worked but that's because she reminded me of Zevran.

PS: Sorry I wasn't yesterday on pc to be able to reply.

Devs joining the new forums is one more thing that highlights the lack of logic and nonsensical nature of the reasons given for the closure. We're closing the forums because devs no longer have the time, energy or desire to be here. Instead they are going to use even more time and energy to be on multiple new forums. LOL

The devs joining the new forums are likely not the same ones who are pushing for the forum closure, but it still boggles the mind. If there are numerous devs who are registering for accounts on these different forums, why not just keep this one open? You know, so manpower isn't spread thin?

I mean, I'm not a corporate bigwig idiot, but it seems like managing 1 account, maybe 2, is easier than 3 or 4.

I envy everybody playing Origins. I can never finish that game. I always get that "delayed combat" bug and it always gets too bad to even continue the game. You know the one (if you're unlucky). You and the enemy are standing there exchanging blows, but none of them are having any effect. There's a mage over there that just threw a fireball into a crowd and nothing happened to anyone. Then 20 seconds later, the mobs started realizing they're dead.

It's so much fun to troubleshoot because when you ask anyone, as soon as they hear "lag", they tell you your computer isn't good enough to run it. Right, guys. My FX8350 and GTX970 can't handle 2009's games.

Aye for the record I don't think its the same specific people or anything necessarily. Just scoffing at the wider level nonsensical logic :)

It's only nonsensical if you think the official explanation is legit. They're lying to us, of course. We questioned their genius, so obviously we're idiots who can't put 2 and 2 together. So they think we'll buy this explanation.

2010 truly was this community's prime time. By far the greatest year I spent around these parts.

Yep. I've got some serious nostalgia feels for femshep fandom going on right now. I'll miss this forum if for no other reason than that and the really cool people I met during that time.

That's weird as heck... never happened to me, but then again the last time I played Origins was like 5 years ago.

The way you describe it, indeed sounds like online lag.

Wait, got the brightest idea! try to ask EA support for help!

I just feel that all this talk of "Because we're not here to engage the fans" tries to make it more about Bioware then about the fans.

"It's not you, it's us" essentially.

WHY ARE YOU BREAKING UP WITH ME BIOWARE.

But seriously, it just seems like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Yeah the devs may not be here as much, but that doesn't mean this forum needs to go. This could be the officially sanctioned Bioware forums but rather then the devs being the managers of it, they could simply be members. If they're here, great. If not, life goes on and we do what we've done for the past few years -- talk amongst ourselves about whatever.

Moreover, the BSN exists as the Nexus where we all come together. If a tumblr post or a twitter message pops up then it's shared here where people can see it. I do not have twitter and I won't ever get it, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy seeing the tweets here in the forums.

Yeah, kind of. It's a pretty common bug unfortunately. Earlier in the year I tried to play it and searched up and down the web for a solution but even 7 years later no one knows why it happens or how to fix it. It happens to both PC and console players. No commonality has been found. It's a real scooby doo mystery.

Wait, got the brightest idea! try to ask EA support for help!

That's generally understood to be caused by a lack of available RAM, rather than an inadequate CPU or GPU. At least, that's what people consistently told me, and a RAM upgrade fixed things for me. What do you have, and what's your OS?

Windows 7 and 16 gigs. If it's caused by RAM issues, why does it effect some console players and not others? The strength of consoles is that they all have exactly the same specs.

I suppose I should considerate it ironic and, why not, oddly appropriate that I've received my first warning point ever (I think) for posting a .gif of Supergirl saying, "Hope" in the eve of the BSN's series finale. I think that settles it on whether we can change any minds about keeping this place open.

Just a reminder (and for those just tuning in), Cyonan's BSN is the place to be for all your BSN'ing needs once this forum goes the way of the dodo:

http://bsn.boards.net/

We have over 500 members and growing, we're saving guides and info threads you may find useful and all the cool kids are doin' it.

It's like getting to that space station or whatever at the end of Interstellar only without the hours of random space shenanigans, Hans Zimmer falling asleep on his keyboard or Anne Hathaway*

*Note: We cannot confirm or deny the existence of Anne Hathaway on BSN with any degree of certainty. Cyonan and BSN are not liable for any encounters or inane speeches about love.

Yes, truly, the termination of a free, public, official place of discourse between consumer and creator is a great victory against restriction of speech and expression!

Perusing over the New Yorker article posted on the thread by a fellow forumite earlier today when...

thousands more have signed a petition demanding the ending be changed (a charity drive to build awareness for the cause raised eighty thousand dollars), and a fan went so far as to file a complaint against BioWare with the Federal Trade Commission

I have only one question in my mind...

Where did all that money go?

Where I am spending most of my time is in my signature, but there is a lovely post here that collects all of the alternatives. Why not give them all a try and see where your heart leads you? After all, wherever you land is where the cool kids will be. :)
