So, a post mentioning why a point is given gets deleted, but all of another person's posts ranting on and on about what terrible, horrible people we all are gets to stay?  Ohh the mental gymnastics here.

it's strange no? but not surprising. The same thing was happening when RemixGeneralAetius was ranting and raving about TSG, Vroom network and these boards for being disgusting sewer rats. He didn't even get banned until he started posting krogan/asari porn for a while (And I unfortunately caught a glimpse). When I asked why he was still allowed on the board while everyone else was receiving warning points my post got deleted as well.

lol...I'm feeling kind of sad now that everything is going up in smoke and I don't have at least one warning point. I guess I'm not feisty enough for the mods, they probably like it rougher then I could ever give. But to stay on topic; this decision still sucks however I'll always remember this thread fondly now for the posters who gave me a chuckle.

Look, I understand what he was saying but the thing is imagine this is a physical forum where people actually attend like UN conventions, things will get much, much worse when an attendee's race, gender, age, perceived salary level, hair styles what have you being routinely subjected to prejudiced assessments.

 

Digital forums like this one does not suffer from that and it is indeed a viable alternative if not better, the environment is safer here, that is why people have the audacity to say ridiculous things and stop being decent, it is natural to have antagonism, it exists everywhere, it is up to the moderators and forum-goers themselves to manage

Seriously if I was to hold a grudge against every single person who tore my arguments apart here, I will never learn anything. There are many smart and articulate people here in these forums, so what if they said something you don't like, so what they said something that made you feel belittled? It happens all the time in real life, you just learn from your mistakes and make something better out of the experience.

 

I first joined in the aftermath of the ME3 ending and I learnt that I was grossly inadequate in terms of debating, so I befriended people here and consolidated my knowledge and skills, it felt great because I could also apply these skills to real life as well

You are right about all of that. But it's also very valuable to learn when to move on and let go.
