BioWare died when the founding members started leaving in droves and they replaced them with writers from The Mary Sue.

In the end you'll even get your post count back. That'll make LPPrince happy. ;)

For mine back I'll need ME, DA, and Off Topic. hahaha

I may have also based the look of one of my female Inquisitors on your avatar(s), since I was struggling a while back to find inspiration for a decent looking female Trevelyan for my Cullenmance. Although I ultimately gave her a darker complexion (due to Rivaini heritage either from her mother or grandmother) so I didn't feel like I'd completely plagiarised her design.

Another reason these forums will be missed, some of the Post Your Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor threads were really useful if I was feeling unoriginal that day or couldn't get any decent looking characters in the CC.

if you ever managed to get anything good out of DA:I's infernal squares in character creator then you have more skill than I

Hey guys!
Glad to see people still posting here and all around the forum even though the inevitable is around the corner.

Anyways,on an unrelated note I believe DAI ` s character creator was very well implemented ( if you exclude the hair and the awkward shinyness) . It's the only character creator where I managed to recreate myself or at least make a character that could easily be my twin and it happened with the 2nd try. Even with the lack of hairstyles, I found the hairstyle I use. Guess I was lucky :P

Anyway...even after more than a week since BW decision and I still find it incredible dumb :(
And I am still sad...

All those, except OT will be back. What we can do is practice our puppy eyes in the mirror and using that charm to ask Fexelea to reconsider.

I sure want it back. Friendships started there. For some people even marriage.

Aye, which is why I don't want to lose it. Would be a real shame for it to fade away forever.

If it is some technical issue, like capacity, then there is little we can do. In that case we shouldn't press any further.

Let`s all sing a song, shall we?

Verse 1

BSNers!
The time has come to realize
We are banished from this place ,
Where we once thrived with our brothers.

BSNers remind
That time will not unwind.
Bioware`s crooked spine,
Will never straighten into line.

Verse 2

No more hope in plea
The Masters have decreed
But us posters won't retreat
From the defeat of our Forums.

BSNers!
A time has come for battle lines.
We will cut these corporate ties
And some may live and some may die.

Chorus

Bioware, come to us!
Bioware, come to us!
Bioware , care for us!
Can-a you, can-a you care for us...

As you are now so blind
In the dark now you can Tweet?
In our strength you could`ve relied,
And history would not repeat

They're about to find out they're just replacing one group of undesirable fans for another group of undesirable fans. What will they do, then? Blame the new fanbase? Blame the internet's general aggressiveness? Who'll be EA's new scapegoat, then?

This is hilarious.

There's one key difference: when the hyperbolic, OTT complaints crescendo in other places, there won't be any longtime fans (who have been through the process multiple times) to help quell or mediate it in any way.

I'm beyond passive-aggressive, but I'm not going to waste my time harassing devs or the like. I'll speak my piece here and then tell everyone I meet to avoid buying BioWare games brand new. Letting them know that the company insisted things were so bad among their fans that they shut down and deleted their forums.

Right there with ya. I've been needing to re-schedule (the original date we set got cancelled) a get-together with friends where I'm planning to demo some of my favorite games and gaming moments to try to get some of my friends into BioWare games, but I'm not feeling terribly magnanimous toward BioWare atm.

I've also been planning to start publishing some game guides, tips, etc., in the next few months, and am finding it difficult to want to include anything from BioWare. I was ~ 1/3 of the way into my second playthrough of DAI when the forum closing announcement came, and I haven't played it since. I'd also been planning to buy myself some N7 and possibly Inquisition themed gear for my birthday in the fall, but that's pretty much not going to happen now. And I'd thought that this winter would be a good time for me to finally read some of those tie-in novels, but at this point, I pretty much don't GAF.

------------- Meanwhile... --------------

Although my post count is on the low side, I've visited these forums nearly every day since I joined, lurking more than posting. It's a habit I'm going to have to break, so there will be a hole in my life I'll need to fill with something else.

As for other options... sound bytes don't interest me, and I rarely read the Twitter threads here, so that's a non-starter. The only times I've ever glanced at Reddit is when something from there shows up on a search. I login to FB maybe once a year. I've yet to join any of the other forums, and don't know that I will - while I appreciate the efforts behind them, it just won't be the same.

So I guess instead of maintaining an active interest in the forthcoming MEA and regularly looking here for new bits of info (or fan theories), I'll probably forget about it, and might not even know when it's released - because I will have filled that space with other things and interests. Shrug.

C'est la vie.

Byne here, banned until August 14 for daring to point out I had had my posts removed, but they didnt count on me having an account I made to troll as a dalish fan, then subsequently forgot about.

Anyways, was banned for speaking out, like I said they would. They removed that post too. But dont forget! They care about the community and want to foster open discussi- hahahahahaha.

Sorry, cant even tell such obvious lies in jest without laughing.

What with the constant allthedrama at uBSN and the online abuse originating from people at Cyonan's BSN, I don't believe either of them is worth the effort.

I can't exactly say I'm surprised that uBSN has a problem with drama...

But that being said, still have to tip my hat in appreciation of any effort to preserve the spirit of these forums, even if that's the wacky drama and posts. As long as everyone remembers to play nice, shine on, you crazy diamonds.

I'm just astonished that there was apparently no one in the marketing department with enough nous coupled with enough clout to stop this PR disaster. Even if ME:A's development is going well, no one at Bioware realised that shutting down the Forums looks like they are frightened of what their fan's reaction will be? The outward appearance, regardless of the reality, is that they have little confidence in their upcoming product.

I once messaged Casey Hudson on Facebook (back when it was possible to PM anyone and they would get an instant notification). Told him how much I appreciated the ME series and that I was looking forward to ME3. He replied within a few hours with a great and humble response.

I miss that BioWare.

Bioware has been awful at marketing. Need I remind you of 'thinks the new ****' and da2 marketing

Not to mention the contempt they apparently hold their fans in.

But, but, you have over 3,000 posts. Compared to me you are a most prolific poster indeed. :D

And now I need to get back to my fanfic so I can increase my posts. I . . . have . . . to . . . finish . . .
