My statement of fact was deleted.
Let me reiterate then: punitive and belittling.
I am only going to get saltier as time goes on. Like seawater left in the sun.
Question: If Bioware today had a character in MEA who was a lover of bad obscure music, a narcissist, a hipster and ever so fragile and sensitive, would that character be a hero or a villain?
Follow up question: Would the MC be able to punch him?
Such a character is of course not based upon any real person at all. Trust me. ![]()

A companion or important NPC that the MC is either forced to agree with or at least respect. A "heroic" figure regardless of their actions objectively being reprehensible and subjectively, the character being a colossal douche.
Follow up question: Would the MC be able to punch him?
No, not likely.
Question: If Bioware today had a character in MEA who was a lover of bad obscure music, a narcissist, a hipster and ever so fragile and sensitive, would that character be a hero or a villain?
Neither. There is only Taupe. And even that has sub-categories like; Ecru, Beige, Khaki...
Follow up question: Would the MC be able to punch him?
Yes. But it doesn't matter because you will incur penalties with whatever you choose. And you will have no idea what those penalties are until you are being screamed at.
Also, you will unlock the achievement: "Sh!TLord".

N7M, don't lie buddy. You came for BioWare, but you stuck around for SnakeCode.
If thoughts are water and the mind a glass when you look back on your posts you'll be envious of a paper plate.

The rest of you will have to wait your turn until I return. Ta.
BiowareMod4 is my new fan.
The gaming media will side against gamers every single time. If this ever becomes a topic, it will be a "Toxic Gamers Force Developer To Shut Down Forum" type deal. If BioWare tells them we're toxic, then toxic we are. Gaming media hate their audience even more than BioWare does.
Of course, after all we're nothing but a bunch of fat losers, living in our mother's basement to them. I still remember quite well all that 'Gamers are Dead' nonsense that they tried to pull. Oh they had my blood boiling with that. If I had not already given up on traditional games media by that point, that would have done it.

The character would get banned from the game by BioMod2 for liking bad obscure music, being anarcissist, a hipster, being too fragile and sensitive and having commented offtopic during a dialogue with the MC.

1. Well... If it is a Bioware game then that imaginary character has to be a hero. It's close to their corporate behavior.
Their taste of music isn't that bad, though. Erm. I think. Except for that trailer.
2. No. Of course not. The main character will that hero. ![]()
The squad members will be invisible and you cannot talk to them.
It will be a short game, though. It starts with the ending.
Too bad this thread is not about influencing Bioware to change their minds, but has evolved into one raging complaint after another. One does not give a whining child the cookie; they are more likely to be sent to bed.
If I thought for one moment, Bioware would change it's mind, I would do everything I could to do so.
But I've been here long enough to know Bioware will drive over a cliff rather than admit they made a wrong turn.
But with the rise of social media and geek culture, there have never been more ways for us to connect.
I cringed. I hate this decade.
In the past, our forums were the only way we could speak to you directly. They allowed our developers to talk with fans, and gave our players the opportunity to talk with each other about our games.
Now we can travel around the world, meeting with you face-to-face at events like PAX, SDCC, and even shows in our own backyard. We can share stories with you on the go, giving you a look behind the scenes on sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
Honest question, do the devs really speak directly to anybody anymore? Frankly, anything I've seen or heard from Gaider since 2011 has tended to be him heaping contempt on people.
Did BioWare never go to cons either? I'm confused by that line.
Anyway, I am a little sad that the fun, vibrant, and sometimes messy online community that was BSN is being discarded for the sanitized, PR bubble of social media. May you exist in a safe space of buzzwords, cosplay, and tumblr pages forever and ever. Amen.

Sadly, this thread is not about influencing BioWare to change its mind. It never was, from the start.
Just like the announcement thread Conal made about the Off-Topic Lobby closing, this thread is simply meant to inform us and allow us a place to grieve the inevitable.
That much is clear considering the thread SAVE THE BIOWARE FORUMS, which was completely about calmly and rationally asking for these forums to be saved and was not breaking any rules in any way, was locked. That, right there, tells you everything you need to know.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this absolutely isn't happening. You can try to please and placate BioWare as much as you want, you're getting thrown under the bus with the rest of us. They aren't going to let the loyalists ascend to a new non "toxic" forum no matter how much you wish for it.
Oh yeah. Can you believe I had forgotten about the whole "Gamers are dead" thing?
I still hope someone at a convention asks them about this, it'll be much more difficult to ignore the question if it's face to face.
I'll never forget. I'm over it and past it, but I'll never forget it.
I'm tired, but also officially at 500 posts and figured it should be in this thread. Didn't think I'd reach it so soon, and was hoping to be more appreciative or excited about it... but it feels kind of like
(Sick of my Anders gifs yet?
)
Also reached 900+ likes.
Thanks everyone on BSN for those little alerts that (the memory of which) I will treasure forever.
Some screen grabs might be needed. (A shout-out to Wolven_Soul, who gave me my 900th like.
)
I wish BSN would stay...
My pleasure. ![]()

I'm not sure this is a great analogy. The comparison more accurately involves taking away the cookies from all the children, with no distinction between how good or bad they may have been.
That sounds splendid!... but how do we keep it on topic?
Well I once saw a cat video of a cat barking like a dog while staring out a window, then turning around and noticing that someone is watching it shifts to meows. Could maybe tie that in to Bioware pretending to be something that they're not. You know all that nonsense about caring about the fans and what not.
Wait, we're trying to help our image. Never mind.

The community has been given the finger by Bioware do you honestly think we are supposed to be happy about this and take it with a forced smile?

Really? I didn't know about that thread. This just...I'm speechless. I wrote up until just and been sitting there for five minutes trying to express how this makes me feel. Betrayed? Depressed?
FFS KotOR is my favourite game not because it's the best I've played but because its twist (the big one) made me as a 11 year old stop and think about how I was. Get a bit of introspection and realize that I had everything to become an ******* with a superiority complex. Obviously I didn't word it like that but ever since I strived to have some humilty, to everyday remind me that just because I'm better at some things, other are better at other things. I'm not superior, I'm different, everyone is and that is great.
I just held them in this high regard because that Old Bioware and their game made me a better person and that's because I hold KotOR as my favourite.
Man, I feel as if I had been looking up to Anakin and I just realized he's turned into Vader. ![]()
