I keep thinking That The reapers Have indoctrinated bioware to shut down the forums or maybe the darkspawn has brainwashed them
What more proof do you people want to realize there's nothing left of the old BioWare now?
So is this it for you, LPPrince? Are you thinking of continuing with any of the other forums?
I've been on VSN since The Lobby closed. I'm also on FextraLife, the RDF, and I have an account on cBSN which at this point exists basically so I can host their own RWBY thread(though if Fexelea can pull it off the original one will live again on Fextralife). So I've gone to other boards.
Not happy about having to jump to multiple locations but its what we have to do.
I just wanted to add a thought i had about the title of this topic, "Concerning Our Forums". I don't think these have been Bioware's forums for some time, but the fans, and what is about to happen feels like a big FU to the fans, and it makes me angry and sad that they wont even just keep them here for their fans. It makes no sense to me at all to do this to the poeple they want to 'connect' with. All i feel from this is a disconnect and no desire to support them any longer.
I didn't post here that much, but it's still sad, seeing this forum go down like that. But it's happening, so - take care! I wish you all all the best in the future! I wish you to meet all your friends from here on another forum. I wish for people not to get lost and for the community not to disappear. Stand strong, stand together! GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE! You are all awesome, never doubt that.
To BioWare, if they're reading - I hope you know what you're doing. That it's worth it for you. That it's not entirely meaningless. Good luck.
Kick even the sweetest dog enough, and it will bite.
So, it's coming to an end.
Oh well.
I have no idea if I'll go through the process of choosing one of the many possible new forums.
Prince, which do you suggest?
We should open a thread and throw a party on the eve of August 26. You know, to make the BSN go out with a bang.
There could be lots of dancing,

people would lose their inhibitions, do what they always wanted to with no regrets

and even the occasional fraternization

if you catch my drift.
So, it's coming to an end.
Oh well.

VSN if you like the people that have already congregated there, think of it as a bigger version of The Lobby
FextraLife if you want to continue threads that already exist here
CBSN has the largest population of the splinter boards I believe but I've barely used it
RDF looks nice but again, I've barely contributed. Still, good people.
If you HAD to pick one space, I'd say try Fextralife since its attempting to carry over all the old threads and such. Once you've landed there, you can decide if you want to move to another location as well.
You'll find me most often in the VSN but I'll be in Fextralife quite a bit if The Lobby is successfully ported over. cBSN I'll check in on every once and a while for its RWBY thread, RDF we'll have to see.
Hello everyone. Nefla finished drawing Rowan, the Inquisitor in most of my silly screenshots/gifs, and it's great so I wanted to share ![]()
Now, on to replying to what I've caught up on.
BansheeOwnage,
Talking about closing forums... I thought that the thread I've promised, in which your brilliant drawing plays a key role, would get wasted on this sinking ship. So, I have posted it on my favorite forum. I hope you don't mind.
Haha, thanks, I read it. It was a good read, and I may post more on your thread when I have time.
I'm really going to miss seeing your posts and perfect use of gifs.
I really appreciate that, thanks
I am currently signed up on the site in your (and my) signature though, so you may yet see more. Although, during this swansong of sorts, I have expended most of my arsenal of reaction gifs ![]()
RIP BioWare. I will never forget the countless hours I spent totally absorbed in KotOR, Jade Empire, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 1 and 2, and SWtOR's 8 class stories nor do I think I will ever find another game company that makes me feel the way I felt during that phase of your games.
I've been thinking for a few years now that it might be time to give up video games all together but I don't know what I'd do with myself. I'm thinking within the next few years I won't really have a choice and there will be zero games I like.
I have a sinking feeling that I won't ever find a game company that makes me feel quite the way I felt playing the games Bioware made in their prime either. Hope we're both wrong. And I don't know what I'd do with myself if I didn't play games either. I'm so boring ![]()
IIRC English localization of TW1 is sanitized in comparison to Polish/Czech. Also, if you consider that overabundance, good luck dealing with real people. Real Life has so much "mature content" (and no filters or toggles), that Witcher looks like kid's story.
To be honest, I wouldn't mind a real life toggle for things like that ![]()
This. I so wish more posts were like this; more posters were like this. May Bioware listen to her call to stand together.
Be well, be safe, and continue to find happiness in the small things in life.
There are more posts like DragonRacer's (not to in any way downplay DR's). That is: Passionate, polite, well-argued, sincere, heartfelt, and unifying. But once again, you missed them somehow.
And the way that these fans responded....
I'll remember that too. It was very touching and impressive ![]()

Yes. We evolve along the paths the Reapers desire. Bioware unintentionally imagined a universe that turned out not to be fictional - the Reapers really do exist, and they're beginning to erase Bioware's accidental warning to humanity about our future ![]()
Less than 2 days now... Has it sunk in for you all? It's still not quite there for me.
ME3 music feels appropriate. Though I hope it's not the end yet! (I'm just in a melancholy mood I guess...)
But!
And the way that these fans responded....
Most of what I have seen from you can be interpreted in a negative light as well. Should I therefore call YOU toxic in the same vein that a good portion of the community fan-base has been portrayed by others?
I would assume no.
When everything is said and done and the rest is boiled down...the only reason as to why Bioware is closing down the forums is to get rid of any real and constructive criticism of their products. They dont want a repeat of the backlash of ME3 and they dont want anything to hamper their initial sales of any of their new products. They want any objection silenced.
That is not fan service. That is not "caring and listening to their consumer base". All it serves is to pad their ego and their bottom line as much as they can and everything else can just go away.
That is why people are upset. They know it. You know it. Everyone knows it. The fans just cant do anything about it. All that is left is wailing and gnashing of teeth.
The end is coming i just want to thank all of you, the most to those who are trying to save everything that is most important so
others will use it in the future. Just thank you.

The parable of the weeds. That is apropos. ![]()
There's nobody by that name here.
What, with shock, grief, and begging not to be shut down, deleted, and scattered to the winds?
Conal/Jesse/Bryan/Allan/whoever might be reading,
I sent this in a PM yesterday, but as it's relevant to many interests, I'm gonna post here too in hopes that one of you sees it and can answer.
When forum posting is suspended this weekend, what will happen? We we still be able to log in to search and view the sites, or will we be completely locked out of everything, as is the case during a suspension?
I have lots of my own content that I'd like to review and save, and I won't have the time to finish doing this before the end of the week. I was hoping I'd be able to do this at my leisure over the next couple of months before the whole thing goes dark. If we don't have the tools available to search our own post histories and groups, doing this will be nigh impossible. I can't imagine I am the only person here who is concerned with this.
Can someone please chime in to let us know if we'll be able to search and interact with the forum as usual even after posting is locked?
Thanks.
I would imagine it will be possible to use those features, I mean its still possible to view group content and search for blog posts and the like on the old social.bioware site. I don't see why this would be different. (Haha. I was just playing around and now I've created my first project on that site)
