I've tried to make a post in the farewell thread. But it is just not me to do something like that. Besides, it's not like I am disappearing from the face of the Earth. I've just moved to another part of the internet and I'm happy that I found a nice RPG forum that allows me to have fun playing games and posting about them.
What was I'm going to say in that thread? Many people on my large FL already left the forums a while ago. These BW advocates turned their back to the company in waves after each BW blunder: DA2, the ME3 ending, the closing of the OT forums, etc.
They were smarter than me. They believed that BW had died already, while I was still hoping they would recover.
Then there are the Great Posters. They'll keep on posting, but not here. Too bad that they're scattered among several forums now. But most of them are within reach.
Finally there are the BW employees. Some of the great ones were/are on my FL. BW used to have many of these people and gave it a personality. Now? BW is what EA made it: A label, which is merely registered trademark used to improve the image of EA. The personality has gone. Their loyalty to their fans has gone. BW/EA is only loyal to their stockholders. That's OK. I understand how corporations work. But when the human touch is gone then it is time to leave.
So, in the mean time, I'll keep posting here until the end. And maybe some of the old posters who haven't heard the news yet will show up. BW intentionally didn't inform the forum community by e-mail. They didn't want to wake up sleeping dogs, I guess. I don't have words for that behavior.
