Haha. WTH? People are crazy.

I got off the DA wagon after DAI, because I discovered how much I truly hate the gameplay. It was just too much for such a long game. I do really feel like I want to see the complete endgame, now. It's annoying that it took two additional DLCs to finish the game properly. :/ I'd like to see how things play out between my companions, not how they play out between someone else's versions on YouTube. Meh. I'll likely just get the info dump on the new BSN and fill in the blanks with YouTube. I already sold DAI in disgust.

There was a thread here in the beginning that attempted to set about helping save the forums in some way and it was locked pretty quickly. So, what does that tell you?

So, this is it then. In a way my time here has already ended twice, so this whole mess doesn't affect me as much as others. After the Citadel DLC I mostly stopped talking about BW games, and after the end of Off-topic I stopped coming here.

I feel bad for all the fans who were still active and would've wanted to keep at it. In my eyes nuking the forum is a tremendously bad decision, but it just seems almost like a logical next step for the company.

There are a lot of really cool, dedicated people in this community, and I hope you guys find new places for a continued exchange. I'm out, I guess. Have already been out. Had good times with BW, then bad. Now it's over. Probably for the best.

Good. I come back on this board and I discover I won a warning for a post made in June. Okay, mods, keep doing a good job. I promise I will be a good kid for the last hours it remains.   This place has become an ultimate joke. 

 

 My own feelings and how I see it. Bioware was like a sort of girlfriend, it simply ended badly. Now an ex-girlfriend already forgotten specifically because of how she behaved with you. When talking to you, you learn at that important moment that she simply doesn't love you anymore, " I'm sorry but I don't feel anything for you anymore, I'm leaving " totally tired of your relationship. You don't cry, you don't feel angry, you feel empty, except that part of bitterness that keep going though. You don't try anything, you don't move, you just listen carefully to her words, silent. You don't try to oppose her decision, you don't break things around, you don't scream, already resigned in your heart. Why would you ? You know it's over with such words. " I don't feel anything for you anymore. I'm leaving. "

 

Yup. There is nothing you can do, let it go. Maybe after a while it'll be better, between you and her, maybe not. Maybe she 'll be in love with you again in the future. But just right now, let it go and make peace with yourself and the harsh separation. It serves no purpose to try to pursue a poised relationship when someone regardless of her will has not anymore an ounce of love for you. Her perception of you totally poised. Exactly how Bioware feels about the BSN and its whole community. It's like that, it happens. The funny thing being that you often feel that kind of things way before the person says these words. There are visible signs and sometimes we don't want to believe them. Not anymore the same gaze when she looks at you, easily bored when she is with you while it's not the case with other folks, always looking elsewhere and not caring anymore about what you do, easily irritable with you even when you have done nothing, as if the negative feelings overwhelmed the positives ones in her mind. Again how I felt Bioware was behaving with the BSN. 

 

And finally when she admits to you without giving you the choice. " I'm sorry, we are done, the thing is... I don't feel anything anymore for you. I leave. It's over between us " You then instead of crying, feel weirdly almost nothing. You just have to look into her eyes, and you don't see any ounce of love for you. You realize that all this time you were the only one caring about your relationship in the last moments.  You suddenly understand how so much she sees you as an embarassment. A burden. She doesn't care about you. Uh Bioware ? So indeed, why would you cry over losing her, why would you complain that she is leaving you ?  Why would you try to rebel against her decision ? Why would you try to run after her ? Any last feeling you might have had, the person destroyed it.

 

That's exactly what I feel with Bioware. It's over and I'm okay with it. That's how I saw it since they announced their decision, almost unaffected. They don't care about the forum, they don't care about their community, they don't care about me, i don't care about them, the devs and the company. They are done with the bsn and the fans over there ? Fine. I don't necessarily need to be on their own forum if that's how they see it. There are other ones. 

 

It's already been months that I believed that Bioware didn't feel quite right with its fans on the bsn, had no more love for the bsn. And it was before they close the off topic. Once they closed this section, that's where I was convinced of that feeling. The bsn was bulky, the bsn was annoying, the bsn was now a useless tool, an hostile area that cost them something. How could we get rid of it ? And fast, without drama ?

 

Like I said above, I'm not sad, I moved on. I found someone else. Another forum. I don't need Bioware, I don't need the presence of the devs, they mean nothing to me. The same for the compagny. I will follow their games, because I like them, because they can do a good job, but no specific feelings for them anymore, as it was the case before. If aything they destroyed any feeling of loyalty. i became neutral toward them.. If they come on other forums to speak with the fans, I'd be happy to talk wth them though. But mainly for me it's not the end, that's not how I see it. It just a change, probably not for the worse actually. It's just another step of my life. I'll keep the good and bad memories of this place. But it's already behind me. 

 

For me what matters most, it's discussing with other fans on an another board about games I like, and it's already the case  elewhere. Why I would cry ?

 

I'll simply say goodbye to this place. Goodbye Bioware forums. As for Bioware's fans, I'm sure I'll see plenty of faces again. It's not the end. I'm actually optimistic.
