Okay, what else, what else, to tell bioware before we go?

 

Quick, quick, uhmmm

GAMEPLAY. Gameplay is your strongest narrative device if you utilise it properly. Use it. Story and game aren't separate. Don't make it "pass game part to proceed story in cutscene". Unify. Tell the story through the game.

If you don't plan to let us lead, don't bother making us a leader.

Don't make an obviously normal/main choice-path and add a secondary afterwards. Choices should be equal and be reflected in similar amount in the story and the character's development.

Character. PC. Main character. Don't underdevlop him/her and make him/her paper thin and a dumb brick just to make your pet companions and other npcs shine. It's ridiculous. Learn to love your PCs too.

Try evil choices again. Evil. Selfish. Not the same as the good ones but just ruder.

And hair bioware. Hair, for crying out loud.

so, you´re really doing this, huh? what a pathetic display. one would think a company like you should be capable of running a forum, but no, obviously you are not. pathetic. pointless to ask if the (insanely stupid) shutdown of the offtopic-forums one year ago "provided a better experience on [y]our forums" and "create[d] a stronger forum community in the long run" (you remember?). may you fools who made this decision(s) regret this badly, ideally when its too late.

 

i originally planned on saying something about all the fun i had on this forum, about the people i met here etc, but every minute i spend on this forum now just feels like a waste of time. time i rather spend with things i enjoy. things not related to bioware.

This is all so fishy. I honestly think EA is preparing to dissolve BioWare.

As a friend of mine said recently "EA own the IP. They don't need Bioware to make Mass Effect or Dragon Age games."

It's true, they don't even have the same BioWare they purchased so long ago. So many people have left the company and new people have come in. They only have bits and pieces of what was once BioWare. Really all they need is the BioWare name that they can slap on their own generic products to trick people into buying them until the name is so tarnished and worn out that even that is no longer useful and will be discarded.

 

I've been thinking about an analogy for BioWare: it's like BioWare was a root beer company that made super tasty, high quality root beer for many years. You drank that root beer as a child and loved it, you grew up on it and there was none better. Then the company was purchased and the parent company starts cutting extreme corners and changing the formula to save money and eventually ends up just replacing the root beer with dog diarrhea because hey, it's the cheapest and easiest of all and people will still buy it because of the trusted root beer company name! At first they only put a little bit of the dog diarrhea in, but keep increasing the dose. You may stay at first because even though there's a foul aftertaste you keep thinking "but this is that root beer I love! If I tell the company what's wrong, things will go back to the way they were" but there comes a time when you have to realize that there is no root beer left and there never will be. Don't stay in denial and keep buying dog diarrhea.

Please don't. BioWare doesn't know what you're doing and they don't care about you or any of us. Like others have said there are really good alternative forums that seem to be run much better than this one and BioWare hasn't come here to read what fans have to say or talk with them in years.

The alternative forums aren't run by hacks. I suggest you do some investigating and figure out which one works best for you. fextralife.com in particular has some very tight security, since she owns the site. The other popular sites are hosted in reputable locations. They aren't shady, dark corners of the web.
