Okay, what else, what else, to tell bioware before we go?
Quick, quick, uhmmm
GAMEPLAY. Gameplay is your strongest narrative device if you utilise it properly. Use it. Story and game aren't separate. Don't make it "pass game part to proceed story in cutscene". Unify. Tell the story through the game.
If you don't plan to let us lead, don't bother making us a leader.
Don't make an obviously normal/main choice-path and add a secondary afterwards. Choices should be equal and be reflected in similar amount in the story and the character's development.
Character. PC. Main character. Don't underdevlop him/her and make him/her paper thin and a dumb brick just to make your pet companions and other npcs shine. It's ridiculous. Learn to love your PCs too.
Try evil choices again. Evil. Selfish. Not the same as the good ones but just ruder.
And hair bioware. Hair, for crying out loud.
I can get behind this, lemme get some stuff off my chest *clears throat*
A more expansive CC
On the hair note made above, fully agreed. Not everyone uses it but why include it if you're not going to stick some decent effort into it. Hair options have been a pet peeve of mine for a while now. Taking DA:I as an example: 8 hairstyles that are shared across most all races and genders is just pitiful. I'm talking meshes here, not scalptextures. If you lack the time, please for the love of all that's holy, make variations to those meshes, flip them, move some strands, puff them up, I don't care. Takes a fraction of the time it does to create a new one and it gives us more choice.. If not to use them, then to use that object and change it through modding.
If you have a unique hairstyle you'd like to keep unique but is widely requested and modded in a tremendous amount (Morrigan anyone?), at least stick a variation on the style in the CC for petes sake.
Also tattoos specific to the PC that have cameo's in future games that feature a CC to recreate them? It should make all the original tattoos available to them. And while we're on the subject, if you have those tattoos in this mid-game CC, how about sticking them in the main CC as well. Because again, diversity is life and a more expansive CC is NEVER BAD.
Consistency across games
I understand that when the first game in a trilogy or setting was released quite a while ago you might want to diversify and change things going forward, but if those things are important for the continuity of the PC or major characters, please do so thoughtfully or not at all. The ME3 import functionality alone. DA2's elf redesign and changes made to Zevran is a good example as well. Also, hairstyle changes across the ME series (as mentioned above). You redesigned hairs across games that make characters look completely different. If you want to redesign them, also allow us the use of the old ones. It never hurts to have more choice. Making stuff more poofy, mirroring a hair's design, these things have major impact on the look of a face. This is why you don't go to the hairdresser and say, hey, go ahead and wing it. Don't just change that stuff willy nilly, hire more people with a better sense of these things.
Sexualisation of female (N)PC's!
EDI's model (nipples on a robot, a garder belt, huge bobsickles? C'mon now.)
Ashley's ME3 redesign (the hair, the face, the outfit?) Kaidan was wearing a standard Normandy casual, Ash gets a hyper sexy primary outfit that she can also wear into combat and her hair is hanging loose? Her established character was just completely assassinated with those changes. And again, garder belt and weird texture choices around her ass for emphasis. Also, cleavage, you even changed her headmesh away from the norm on two of her main outfits to account for seamless cleavage.
Also let's talk about the leather dress for femshep, please create outfits that accentuate figures aesthetically instead of something 'sexy' that effectively highlights all that's actually wrong/weird about the body mesh in the first place. Tiny chest, thin arms, disproportionate ass, long neck. The ME2 dress was good as it made her look good, ME3's was just an abomination in that sense. Again, hire more people with fashion sense/aesthetic eye, or more women in general.
Female PC Romances
Don't shaft Female PC romances again please, Thane (cheapened by the whole Kai Leng business), Jacob (It's not what he did, it's how he did it. He just wasn't the same person in ME3), lack of assertive conversational choices for Femshep (Kaidan, Jacob). I could go on.
Villains
I'd also like to see stronger writing for important characters (Kai Leng's wasted potential, could not take him seriously).
HR Texture Packs
For the love of all that's holy. Please make these available to PC players.
Test better/longer to avoid dumb mistakes
ME3 Kaidan has no eyelashes. His default armor features writing that is once mirrored on his armor. Point made I think.
And last but not least
Stop killing important or popular NPC's offscreen, damnit. Emily Wong (only made worse by the insert of Diana Allers), Kal'Reegar, I weep and moan.
Really not nearly done, but I'll stop here.
