I lost all hope in MEA as soon as it was announced that it was MEA.  Being in Andromeda screws both lore and basic common sense in too many ways.  When we only know one thing about the story and that one thing is intellectually insulting... MEA Culpa is going to have everyone wishing they were going through ME3 for the first time again.

Where can we go to discuss these games, then? This is literally the only place I know of that I can go to discuss ME and DA. I know only one other person IRL who even knows (or cares) what those are! I don't suppose someone can send some handy-dandy links to places where I could find similar conversations, could they?

Closing the forums, so in other words the powers that be are taking a dump on the fan base. I've been coming here since Baldur's Gate was released ages ago and have been a Bioware fan of their games since then. Well, it seems that ever since the Evil Empire bought out Bioware, the company has been going down hill. First you moved from the original forums, which the powers that be said it would be around for archival purposes, Surprisingly those forums disappeared. Then we tried the whole Bioware/social network thingy which didn't pan out. Then you finally move to these forums, which was great. Then you killed off OT. And now you all want to kill off the forums in general. Well, perhaps myself and others will rethink on future game purchases from this time forward.

Imagine how "amazing" it will be when the game is released and people have no place to talk about it or even better ask questions about lore and quests in the game?! It will be so much fun trying to do that on reddit where the forums are pretty much a youtube comments section with a crazy upvote/downvote system or even better on Twitter under 140 characters....

Its the erasing the archives more than anything else that makes me certain it IS a financial decision and they're lying. If the cost isnt the problem and they just want to communicate in ways other than the forums, theres absolutely no reason to purge the archives.

This is the worst part. Where's the discussion? Reddit's faceless and impersonal and has a weird up/downvote system so you have to go out of your way to even see parts of the conversation. Tumblr's similarly difficult to follow and almost impossible to organize. I have no desire to wax laconic on Facebook and Twitter about my nerdery - that's for telling my third cousin twice removed "Happy Birthday~" and updating my status once a year. :////

Exactly! They're going to vaporize the WHOLE THING. I used to defend the decision to go to Andromeda. I now know I was wrong for that. Something stinks.
