Everyone on the internet was also mocking ME3 ending.

There were some altercation between fans and Bioware employee on Twitter , D. Gaider got chased away from Tumblr.

But somehow the BSN is that toxic cesspool where people are strangely negative about Bioware.Sure , like an isolated island.

 

Second widespread mockery about BSN is the fans are degenerate with their weird fetish about romance...Bioware ..."Ride the Bull"?

It wasn't the fan that did this.

Despite Bioware's recent attempts at courting NeoGAF I don't think those forums are ever going to embrace them the way they want. The Mass Effect thread get about five posts every few weeks and the enthusiasm just isn't there. There is essentially zero Dragon Age presence there.

David Gaider said on his Twitter that closing down the BioWare forums was overdue. I'll never spend a penny on anything he touches.

 

I wasn't here when Gaider used to come to the forum, but judging from a few of his posts, he didn't strike me as a very nice person. More than often he would use a condescending tone. As if the player was stupid and needed to have things explained to them because they weren't clever enough to interpret the lore and characters he had helped to write on their own.

I've been on the VSN for a while now. Its not the place to keep talking about Bioware products, but a lot of past forum members use it to keep connected after Bioware made them feel unwelcome.

I may be totally wrong on this, so feel free to correct, but I also heard something to the effect of him spiting Dorianmancers by stating he preferred Dorian with Iron Bull, like they were better for each other or something, which kinda sucks since those were the only 2 options for gay men.

If enough people join we may see about adding DA or ME subforums if there's really a demand for it, but I kinda doubt it. These ruffians are slandering our good name with accusations of uneven-handedness.

I want to clear up any potential confusion and say that discussing Bioware isn't discouraged or anything, heck, we've got two fairly popular Inquisition and Andromeda threads

Do we? Huh. I only ever use the forum to keep in touch with my friends since Bioware didn't want me to do it here.

 

Consider making sections for the games if enough people desire it.

That's him. I schooled him on his own character once, and he just made a snide remark and crept away.

Someone in this thread quoted him in response to the mod here giving excuses about devs not coming around. The quote read that the forums are used mainly for the fans to communicate with each other, rather than the devs. And now today here's Gaider shooting his thumbs off about how the forum is failing because people expect the devs to post replies to them. Then he admits he has no idea because he doesn't work at BioWare anymore.

Wouldn't it be best to put up some subforums and see what happens. If you build it they will come. Its not like they can't be removed later. Anyway I think I had enough laughs for one night.

Well Bethesda redid its forums and it was totally anti user friendly .Does that count?

I think it was [mainly?] about Doribull, but because the ship is seen as ultra ~problematic on tumblr, because for some of them it promotes abuse. And that Gaider has no place writing a moc, of course. Basically BioWare should hire poc to write [straight] poc, and *poc lgbt to write poc lgbt.

 

*Don't forget gender! You can't have a white male writing a queer woc. That's very troubling.
