All I have to say about this is......
Way to go, everyone.
It's raining in Chicago where I am right now. Now that they're shutting down these forums, even God cries.I've been here way too long, made too many friends still here & long gone, and care way too much about this place. Too many memories of friendships, smiles, jokes, and good news.
Me, right now-
I need a moment guys, give me a bit.
This kinda sucks. There's nowhere else I know of that I can have dedicated chats about my Favoured franchise with others like me.
Hardly reeks of confidence either. The fall will be the first time we'll be hearing something committal about the game and the shutting down of the main avenue of discussion for it just in time seems like preparation for the worst.
This isn't our fault. It's probably EA forcing Bio to do this. Maybe. All I have to say about this is......

I don't consider any of the suggested sites to be even be on the same level as the Bioware Forum and that's talking in terms of being easy to use for conversations and discussions especially very lengthy ones. On these forums, it is very easy for me to keep track of a conversation.
I'd always defend Bioware for the most part. If they messed up I'd call them on it but this has annoyed me. They're basically taking away the ability for their most ardent fans to interact while also cutting off their own community interaction.
It was the passionate fans who made BW what they are and now they just can't be bothered with us anymore.
Maybe I'm just getting old (even though I'm not that old) but this really sucks to me. Social media, twitter, facebook and so on, really isn't my thing. Never has been, never will be. Which is why I have enjoyed coming here to read and talk about the games, lore and so on. It really sucks that I won't be able to do that anymore. It is definitely something that I am going to miss.
But at least now I have another reason to hate social media. I suppose that is kind of an upside?
This is a serious question. Where are people supposed to go for technical support for BioWare games and things like Dragon Age Keep? Twitter is not even close to realistic for that.
The "fabulous" (read: useless) EA Help Desk of course.
Fun fact: Those fellas over there actually redirected people more often to these forums instead of being actually helpful, but hey... BioWare gotta do, what BioWare gotta do.
Well that's... just plain awful. I don't use them social networks and pretty much hate Tumblr, so what am I supposed to do now huh?
I guess I'll miss a couple of BioWare releases — there is going to be no way that I’m aware of them.
EA's cleaning house. I don't hate EA. They make some decent games but really they're nothing but affluent men and women who care more about their pocket books.Maybe there's a reason why all those devs left...better start that conspiracy cycle.
Yes, yes. There's some good corporate speak in there.
Translation: We need to be more picky with what we listen to.
I don't even care that the devs don't post or comment here and I don't even need the devs to read the BSN for feedback purposes.
I just want them to leaaaaave ma BritneySN alooooone
We have a community here.
True. Will certainly be interesting to see how ME:A multiplayer fares when the community has no developer run forum to access.
You know, it's pretty insulting to say this is about developers no longer reading here, as if Bioware is doing us all a favor by closing the forums. As if there's not 1000+ page threads of users solely talking to each other.
Yep
You may be right.I hate social media lol,it's fine as long as i don't need to register.
Forums are more comfortable and easier to browse and find stuff.
Maybe EA just wants us to use their forums. (http://forum.ea.com/)

Shudder. I don't wanna.

No, a handful of constant trolls have been running amok for a month and a half now, the forums have truly turned into crap. It used to be fun and informative.
You mentioned in the op about meeting fans. Out of interest, when is the next time Bioware is coming to Northern Ireland, or even the island of Ireland so I can take up this offer of dialogue?
innit mate call me when they ever come north of the Wall to anywhere in the UK/in the Isles that isn't London
While Reddit has some uses on occasions, it's a HORRIBLE place to replace a message board like this. Just the general layout and structure makes it near impossible to have the same types of discussions and threads as here.
Maybe EA just wants us to use their forums. (http://forum.ea.com/)
The only categories are sports games and mobile games.
What the?
Is it possible? Can someone rip the code for this forum and just make a new website? One that isn't actually under BioWare's control, but is basically the same in every way?
Would BioWare even care if someone did that?
Would take a better mind than mine to do such a thing however.
