I don't think they're planning to change the way they interact anywhere else at all.

 

Official support is still through that EA support forum.

 

People they don't like on Twitter or FB or whatever they can simply block without coming across as authoritarian because the moderation there is not their responsibility.

I think it's not even only about money, but more about both a lack of care for consumers (and consumers feedback) by EA, and maybe some wariness about potential backlash for their products later, which doesn't bode well for ME:A.

Him, some mistake here : the "unacceptable, childish and needlessly antagonistic" responses I was talking about were in this thread. As for the abuse taken by Gaider, I was refering to the time when he still was in Bioware and answered on the forum.
 
And it's obvious that the alternative proposed to the forums are ridiculous, they absolutely don't and can't replace forums, they are just excuses provided because you have to answer something.

And I, too, was speaking of his time working at BW and when he posted on BSN when I said he stirs the pot and condescends to everyone. Yeah, he got a lot of disrespect on BSN. There's a reason: he gave a lot of disrespect. He reaped what he sowed.

I'm also assuming that they give a crap about not being flooded with negative comments over Twitter.

That doesn't involve the exchange of currency, so that's unlikely.

You'd figure they would learn after the forums got worse because of it. Amusingly the reasons for shutting off topic entirely contradict the reasons for shutting the forums.

Exactly. Them closing the forums has nothing to do with a lack of visits cause you can bet your ass that if it's still up with MEA's release guys like BroJo would be active amongst others. Mike Gamble was relatively active too. This just tells me they STILL haven't learned from ME3's debacle and I'm not referring to the endings either. I challenge anyone to look up "Zipper Interactive Socom" and compare the similarities. Hell, if you're a wrestling fan look at what WWE has been doing the last decade with how they spite their fans, take them for granted, then turn around and say they listen while still pushing the same things people have been ****ing on and now their audience is a fraction of what it once was.

It's conceivable. If they file a takedown request, we'll know that the intent was suppression rather than just being done with the whole thing.

That one is still a top notch game dev studio and publisher, the other is Bioware.
