I think this is appropriate.
I think this is appropriate.
That's not even mentioning how all the DLC isn't even on origin.
Yeah. There are several things I'm not mentioning.
I haven't used these forums in years. I stopped during the ME3 debacle, as it was clear the moderation that was needed, wasn't going to happen. However, the *vast* quantity of information in forum posts, on blogs, the 8340 projects alone are all worth saving. I'm not talking about creative-level discussions. I'm talking about player research about game mechanics, character creation, modding, and more.
To simply remove all of this content is a horrible, horrible disservice to BioWare's *most dedicated and devoted player base*.
I've checked Origin this afternoon, all I'm missing are some DA2 promotional starter items.
Mass effect is the one that missing the most.
Remember those "I used to be part of the community" sigs people ran around with for a while years ago?
I used to be part of the community. Now I'm just toxic.
Who could've known that the Bazaar was just a test run?!
Quick! Somebody go back in time to destroy the Bazaar before the EAnator gets us all!
That's barely the amount of posts the Talimancers conjured up with their black magics over a coffee break. I think a lot of people simply don't know it yet. Weren't for a news article on a gaming site, it would have missed me aswell.
Talimancers had in past used their thread as it was a public chat group, spamming Tali fan art and what not.
There was hardly any nuanced in Tali character thread until her fans finally calmed down.
I'm not sure if I should be angry or sad that BioWare once again sees a problem and decides to erase everthing instead of fixing it.
Why fix?How do you know that there aren't other reasons for this decision other than the one posted?
BSN and VSN at first were kind of like Abradolf Lincler from Rick and Morty.
But the anti-SJWs broke off from VSN and made their own forum so VSN became full on SJW.
So now VSN is Lincoln.
While the other place is Hitler.
Hmm... Mmmmm?

Uhhhh... I don't cause I'm not psychic? Just gotta work with the stuff the PR department feeds us.

Both splinter groups definitely have their problems. They both share the biggest one though, the clique like nature of the moderators.

WTF, This is probably one of the most stupid (business or otherwise) decisions I've ever witnessed! (And I've seen or were part of some freaking bad decisions, believe me!)
Well, looks like I have finally time to sign on to the VSN / vroom vroom's forum.
Mass effect is the one that missing the most.
As in Mass Effect 1? Yeah, no Bring Down the Sky or Pinnacle Station, but I got BDtS on disc atleast. Never had Pinnacle Station.
Bioware
Actually, I just really like this track, and also I don't care what I'm posting anymore.
This is a serious issue now.
How will people be able to buy ME2 DLC's for PC now?

Sadly you have to use Origin and Bioware Points -.-
Of course you'd say that. I'm sure you were one of those who upvoted the, "Bioware are racist because we don't have afros in Mass Effect" kind of threads. But GG it's all going down in flames now.
Friend I belong to neither group as a matter of fact, it's just a bit funny watching both crowds decry the BSN for being "toxic".
It's because those employees are selfish and would rather play on Twitter and Facebook than actually do work by engaging with the core of the fan base.
You realize that the work of a dev is to... develop a game ? Not to answer people on the forums ?
This is the kind of entitled behaviour that's probably driven the dev out of the forums, actually.
While it is bad that technical forums are going dark, I'm glad that this den of perversion is getting its well deserved purge.

They never calmed down, only went back to whichever circle of Hell they call home.
They both share the biggest one though, the clique like nature of the moderators.
On our side we had an idea or two that might have fixed that apparent "issue" but the civil war came before we could implement them.
Plus I was not a mod at the time so you can't blame me!!!
I have no clue about the other side nor do I care.
Wow. ![]()
Considering I've been with BioWare since back in the BG days, moderating with Interplay before Bio had boards then moving over to Bio on their forum launch, this is going to be a big shock to my system. I'm here every day, and even though I don't interact as much as I once did, not having these boards to visit is going to take some getting used to.
It was bound to happen sooner or later, but it's sad. I've seen so many come and go from Bio staff (and moderators) over the years. At least I'll be able to say I was here from the beginning to the end.

You can't buy ME2 DLC's on Origin.
And you can buy ME2 DLC's only with Bioware points anyway. A thing that should be abolished, as it denies any ME2 and ME3 DLC's to ever be put up on sale on PC.
We have a winner but let's change "a lot" with "the sole"
The same customer who trashed, insulted, threatended of death multiple times the poeple who works for this company?
I wasn't aware that Bioware had a single customer, but it might justify closing down the forums due to lack of funds if it's the case ![]()

I see it less as a "bound to happen" and more of a "let it happen" and "didn't need to happen" but hey, anything we post now is just noise that'll disappear in a month.
