This may be the bitching topic for Biowares foolishness in closing these forums, but no one of importance is listening I would imagine.

Back to the topic at hand, then.

 

I intend to be at the following forums: Vroom, Real Dragon Age Fans, uBSN, Reddit (both ME and DA) and many others I saved as diverse users have posted in the last couple of days over many threads.

 

It would be nice if someone with the necessary goodwill and patience would open a specific thread and posted all the avaliable forums and reddit sections we can go to at least a week before the deadline (August 26).

 

That way, people who have been away from the BSN and won't know what's going on until it's too late will be able to join us there. Also, members who know of one forum, but are unaware that people are also gathering on the other forums won't be lost.

I have not checked out any of these new sites yet. One thing I liked about bsn was that you could check out both ME and DA; as well as new #secretIP. Go from MP to lore to character threads. Older BW games, newer ones. I liked Bundled Bioware.

In a more serious note, I hope you all find a place to land.  I've seen 5 different links going to various different places.  That doesn't sound like a solution to me.  That's likely going to splinter the population.  For better, or for worse.

Oh believe me, there'll be even more than 5 links in due time when the inevitable interpersonal drama and clique warfare rears it's ugly head in them, as is the fate of the vast majority of splinter forums in general. They better enjoy the short term boost in recruits while it lasts, as they'll no longer have a BSN to leech users off of in a couple of weeks(prior to this, these places were lucky to get 1-2 users every other month), combine that and the aforementioned drama, and it's stagnation city baby.

There is nothing wrong with Hawke. After you let go of all the expectation that she's supposed to be influential and yada yada, and embrace that the character is a fool destroying everything in her path then you appreciate Hawke for what it is and not what is was supposed to be. Unlike Tywin, BioWare did shat gold.

 

I don't see EA touching the IP unless it is to ruin all the things we love, so.
