Don't be silly. Arlathan is the Primeval Thaig.
You should share your theory with the devs on twitter, Rifneno! I'm sure the discussion will be enjoyable and fruitful for all.

There is nothing wrong with Hawke. After you let go of all the expectation that she's supposed to be influential and yada yada, and embrace that the character is a fool destroying everything in her path then you appreciate Hawke for what it is and not what is was supposed to be. Unlike Tywin, BioWare did shat gold.
I don't see EA touching the IP unless it is to ruin all the things we love, so.

I knew your avatar reminded me of something!!!!
You're the weird elven shoes guy!!!!!!!
I've read this post and looked for quotes and clues for my crazy theories a number of times.
And you were kind of right don't know if you've played Trespasser.
(and beyond being a massive lore nerd , I haven't slept much and drank to much coffee...so I'm a bit too much excited right now sorry.)

Interesting video about Bioware, which makes me believe closing forum is only the first step of damage control.
Nah, these guys suck too.
Interesting analysis of DAI sales. In short, it is not good.
I heard the news that BioWare is closing the forums, so I dredged up my account to say a few things.
For those here who aren't ancient like me, my name is Chris Priestly (some used to call me "Evil Chris") and I worked at BioWare for over 12 years. Basically from the end of BG2 till the start of DA:I. I started at BioWare in the QA department and became a prolific poster on the old BioBoards helping people out on Neverwinter Nights, KotOR and Jade Empire. Remember, this was back when the only real way to dialog between studio and fans was message boards. There was no Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube, etc. As DA:O and ME1 came closer, the CM at the time (Jay Watamaniuk who is still a writer at BioWare) asked me to join the Community team. Together, along with many staff posters, amazing volunteer moderators and excellent fans, we created a great community on the BioWare forums that ran for years. Not everything was always rosey and there were always bumps in the road when fans/customers would question BioWare decisions, but overall we had a great time. Sadly, DA2 and the endings of ME3 weren't enjoyed by everyone (I'm not bring this up more, you know what I'm talking about if you were here) and things turned much more negative than they had been in the past. Still BioWare and its fans worked to keep these forums going. It wasn't easy. There were people in the studio, some quite powerful, who wanted the forums closed. Yet, there were also those, like me, who wanted the boards to stay open and after much discussion, they remained. And BioWare continues strong with the excellent Dragon Age: Inquisition game restoring fan's faith in the series and the intriguing Mass Effect Andromeda on the horizon (more details on this ASAP BioWare please).
My time at BioWare ended, but I am pleased the forums remained and the community here continues to thrive and grow. I'll always be a huge BioWare fan myself, I loved DA:I and can't wait for Andromeda to come out, and I am sad that the forums will finally be closing. Yet, I have faith in Conal and the rest of BioWare to have a plan ready for what will come next. Remember, these forums were started because there was no other way to talk with fans. Now there are lots of ways and I know Conal and the teams will be talking full advantage of them in time. I know this won't stop fans from worrying because that is in our nature until we see proof, but that's my 2 cents on it.
One last thank you to all of the amazing fans and friends I made during my time at BioWare here on the forums. I was fortunate enough to travel the world for BioWare meeting people including some who met on the boards (more than a few couples who met on the boards only to fall in love and marry in real life) who told me of the strong friendships they have made via the forums over the years. I look forward to being a fan of BioWare in whatever comes next. And a thank you to BioWare for running these forums and they joy they brought me over the years. Cheers.
Pretty politically correct post from someone who went "Bye Felicia" at the community behind their backs.
"Amazing fans". Right.
For reference:
I saw that tweet from Gaider. Then I saw Priestly respond with a "Bye Felicia" and a winky face. Gaider liked the comment. I had to look up the term "Bye Felicia"......and I see now what they actually think about us. All these years, all this time. Yeah" #iPlayBioware " what a laugh they must have gotten from that. People sending them stuff; thank you's and art, and all that.....
"What the hell is wrong with Hawke? Brain cancer?"
What's wrong with Hawke? The answer is, quite clearly, that (s)he had Leandra for a mother.
Pretty much proves that Priestly is a colossal ahole and deserves all the hate he gets. Priestly, if you are reading this, know that you are the reason the forum was as toxic as it was before. Your inept control of the talimancer situation and having to close character discussions proved you helped ruin these forums.Pretty politically correct post from someone who went "Bye Felicia" at the community behind their backs.
"Amazing fans". Right.

So what about the rest of the BSN site?
The forums/groups are going but things like The Keep and the Registered Game Content pages etc will still be up right?
Or are they just nuking the entire BSN?
They're nuking the whole thing.
They're nuking the whole thing.

For reference:
I barely got through the first sentence of Priestley's post without thinking:
I feel bad for the folks who thought he was genuine, though.
They're nuking the whole thing.
No, they're making a black hole, with the nuke at least some radioactive particles would be left...
Keep too???
WTF
The Keep isn't on the forums. It's a completely separate site and it's staying up.
They're nuking the whole thing.
i wld really like to kno how much does it cost bioware to keep this place alive ?
That said it seems impossible to me you (bioware) would put offline all the ressource links the community put out together that you were unable to provide to your player base...
More than half the usefull info on mass effect games is on this board ... How could you put it down ?!?!?

Their response to this on facebook is to keep copy/pasting "if you have questions about a game go to the EA Q&A HQ
" their response on twitter is to not respond at all.
