Puddi the 3rd?
Pfft, my dynasty is much better. I'm Arian the 17th.
Reddit, I guess... Although I'm not super fond of Reddit.
It was a stupid decision if anyone care to hear my opinion. And some people on twitter are even praising them for it?! This is not the world I was born into...
Well, thanks for all the fond (and not so fond) memories, Bioware Forum!
Are you kidding? That's perfect for most of this place. Back to Tumblr with the lot of you! Now, git!
Twitter? Really? Wow...sad to see the Boards go, but Twitter? Guess it's time to try and load up the Friends List on the consoles and such, ain't it?

It's not about how long lived a dynasty is.
But what they have accomplished.
Puddi III slayed all his foes.
I really don't want to go to Twitter to have these talks nor Facebook.
I know, right? Twitter is a joke, FB is dreadful, and mother effing Instagram? are you f**king kidding me?!
Geez... It is such a stupid idea to close these forums. For a moment I thought we were on April's fool...
But seriously, how is anyone supposed to have a discussion about anything on any of the social media sites? Whenever you post an opinion there's a 90% chance only random people who find it triggering will find it and reply.
I dunno where do you usually go when someone walks up to you and tells you to F off. But hey come back when we have something to sell you.
I really don't want to go to Twitter to have these talks nor Facebook.
And we aren't expecting you to use any site that you don't want to. There are a lot of great communities out there already, and we encourage you to find one that's right for you. just because it isn't on boards we own, doesn't mean we aren't listening. We'll continue to seek out and listen to feedback from our players, no matter where it's occurring.
It seems most people go to these forums...
Now we've been cast off into the wilderness of twitter and reddit.
They are treating us like elves in dragon age!!!!!!!!!!! Alineage = facebook, Dalish = twitter!
I feel more sorry for the diehard fans actually. People who are enthusiastic and want to share it with other fans. And like to talk at length, which only forums can do. They still dominate these boards. I could only understand if this was truly a toxic hellhole (it isn't).
Could you list all of these great communities and put it in a sticky in these forums so everyone can find them....oh....wait....

I'd like to say I'm surprised but I'm really not, I guess the majority of us will end up on Reddit.
Unlike the other suggestions it's an actual forum and I'm sure Bioware will turn up when they're ready to sell something.

Guess I have to find this reddit, whatever the hell it is.

RIGHT?
Various concerns
- try having a lore discussion in Twitter's character limit
- sites like Facebook (although you can make a profile with a fake name and stuff I guess) involve a profile which for most people has their real name, location, often job details, etc (concerns about security and privacy)
- I love Tumblr and a lot of the ME/DA community on Tumblr but let's face it a significant proportion of the ME/DA community on Tumblr is downright ugly and toxic
- people who speak other languages ex. French, German wanting a place where they can discuss the games amongst themselves in their own tongue
- not everybody has or wants social media
- losing most of the great discussions/lorecrafting/and so forth that's occurred here. I mean some of us will archive bits of it I'm sure but ???
Not to mention how silly the whole reasoning in the first place is
Like BioWare we don't care the devs don't post on the forums, we're here to discuss the games WITH EACH OTHER and enjoy the community we have here.
Besides how much can maintaining a forum really cost anyway, it's mostly running and server space right (feel free to correct me on this tho)? Especially if you hand moderating responsibilities to fans. It works on Reddit.
Guess I have to find this reddit, whatever the hell it is.
I won't. All that social media stuff is daunting to me. And reddit in particular sounds strange, with it's cliques and downvoting/upvoting stuff. Sounds like too much work. lol
Well it was only a matter of time I suppose. BioWare doesn't seem to have any interest in fostering a community of fans anymore.
Might as well just start echoing Dragon and remind you guys anybody welcome over at Top Shelf Gaming: http://topshelfgaming.boards.net/
Well this is a bummer. You can't have the same depth of discussion on sites like twitter or tumblr or even reddit. Their formats completely inhibit it. I'm fully aware BW is not forcing me to use a site I don't like. And let's be real, these are really the only other active sites to discuss the games. There's definitely not "a lot" of communities out there.
Honestly, this decision makes me more suspicious about ME:A than anything else revealed thus far.
I'm sorry but I am afraid I have to lock this thread, as it is a duplicate of the existing official thread here.
Please post your feedback and discussion there.
Thank you for your understanding.
