Just heard the news from a friend, not sure how Bioware can justify this. Not everyone uses Facebook or Twitter so getting rid of a community like this imakes very little sense. You would think after the garbage that was Inquisition Bioware would try and get back in their fans good books... Oh well, looks like I will give the new ME a miss then

Yeah I know, it's a basic phpbb forum, nothing like this one. It probably won't contain the themed challenges as they found their new home with Prestacious (and I just noticed that the Solo HoFs, too, I was willing to copy that with the founders' blessings or with them), but I plan to copy the Resource Library there, however long it takes, if I can get DragonRacer's permission (I think contacting each writer would be futile, some of them aren't active anymore, but I don't want to steal). The only thing I can promise with the forum is that I will work on it, the basic functions can be applied there, too. Also, nothing fishy with this one (except during registration you have to accept an indoctrination chip, C. Talavi will contact you for your head size details) , coughcough I mean I want nothing than an ordinary, easy to use forum where this community can survive and we can continue discussing the game in the same friendly fashion we did here in the MP section. Currently it is a free version, so some extras (nothing essential) are locked, but if more people fancy this forum than I expect to, than I am willing to switch and pay for the 10 dollar subscription version, unlocking things and allowing larger userbase.

If nobody likes it, then fine, I am not going to lose sleep over it, as it is free for me at the moment and that means everybody else has found their place elsewhere.

To the mods: I'm going to copy this to some relevant topics. Don't delete it for spamming or advertising or under some other excuse. It is nothing more than an information piece, and as the whole place is going to close, I think that would be a major butthole move. So please, leave this comment alone.

A late response. But I am quite shocked too. Playing multiplayer and then not able come here to post/read on "Those BSNer..." about each others scrubiness? Would playing ME-multiplayer would feel same again?

 

Before this shitty decision, a Bioware mark on anything would raise my curiosity and probably a purchase. Now it will just fill me with disdain.

And I will miss you all. This forum had become part of the life.

Can't you see? That is BioWare's genius extention of that! Now you can tweet pics of your controller in spectator mode to prove your scrubbiness!
