Hey DR,

I know this one has personal significance for you so I hope it doesn't hurt, but this is a thanks to you, from the heart, because it was the personal things you shared with us all some years back that made me feel like it was actually ok to hang out with you guys, and many of you became more than just words on a screen. I met so many awesome people here from all over the globe, some I even consider as lifelong friends. Mass Effect is one of the best online communities I've seen and it's a shame that they won't let us continue this when ME:A comes out. One of the best things about ME games is not just the game itself, but that you get to share your love for the game and intense passion for game mechanics (like you lovely weirdos here ) with others too... So yeah, they really dropped the ball on this one

Thank you. That means a lot to me. I know I wasn't as active lately due to the wait time between games, but this place was like a family to me. Been here for six years, made amazing friends, had a lot of laughs and tears and realness and good times. The Resource Libraries, the N7 Gauntlet tournament, the Ryncol Light thread... just so many memories. Basically all of them good. Was really looking forward to making more when Andromeda dropped.

 

And it's never gonna be the same again. All the "alternate" forums of people who left here before that are being passed around are all different, disparate groups. They're offering them as a place to go, but it's not the same. We're spreading out into the wind in different directions and it sucks. I hate it. I absolutely hate it. This was the first forum I ever got so deeply involved in and I never thought this day would come. Ever.

 

It's honestly like someone died. There's gonna be a hole. End of an era. "Ridiculous" does not even begin to describe it.

Dude, everyone here knows I've been one of the biggest BioWare supporters/loyalists/boot-licks/whatever for the longest time. Through a whole lot of stuff, a lot of which lately has been side-eyed for being so questionable.

 

The fact that, at this point, even *I* want to throw burning feces around is really a strong statement about how truly awful this decision is.

Been reading this thread since lunchtime.

This is the first forum of any description I have ever been involved with. I fell in by accident and loved it instantly.

Everything I would like to say has been said by others. Better than I could have said. But some things deserve repeating.

 

This place has been a ride and a half. I've met people from all over the world. I've learned a lot. Even some things about the game.... You're all open, friendly. Honest (*cough* You know what I mean).

 

I'm late to the party. I missed a lot of the early fun and excitement. I'm disappointed I won't get a chance when ME:A comes out. But as one BSNer said.......
