As a thought-

I'm all for a parallel community like this, but it might be better to piggy-back onto some other forum. Since BSN's most remarkable thing is it's lore focus, another lore forum for games would be welcome.

I've heard things about RPG codex. Not all good, but it's an established community with a breadth of games and topics about them. What I have heard suggests that lore is a selling point- and that's what we all are, right?

I'm creating an account there- same name and all- so hopefully I'll see you there. I've seen some familiar faces there already.

Cheers,

Dean

Well I checked out RPG codex, but noped out quite fastly. That's kinda crowd that I don't want to be associated with- and that does seem to be even less into associating with me. They had thread already complaining how SJW's from BSN are going to ruin their precious forum ^^;

I did saw another forum option, but I don't remember it's name and I don't have link right here so I'll edit and post it in later.

EDIT: Found it: https://realdragonagefans.forums.net/

I think the Romance Defense Force having its own forum works just fine, since "groups" on the BSN effectively separate us anywho.

As for more general forums, so far I think the above-mentioned Real Dragon Age Fans, Fextralife, and Top Shelf Gaming are all viable options?

It's okay, I don't want to go to that cesspool of a forum anyway.

I'm sorry about this guys.

I'm a relative newcomer to this place and I haven't really been active on it for a while, so it likely doesn't mean nearly as much to me as it does to a lot of you. All the same, it seemed like a special place and I'm sad to see it go. I had some good discussions on here.

Hope to see you guys elsewhere.

Top shelf has more of the better people I've seen- including our very own Artifice- so I'll probably set up there most. RPG codex may be the lore hunt, but still.

Good to know Lady and Gorgi and some others will be around.

Top Shelf Gaming is worth looking into guys. There are some really great posters there, though plenty of contention. The energy there is also pretty aggressively anti-SJW, but it has a reasonable variety, and it's more laid back than it was at it's conception.

So what's the plan?  Little community in the RDF forum, get our info and have big discussions from elsewhere, e.g. Top Shelf?

RPG Codex is like No Mutants Allowed, just a place to be a negative douchebag, so noping on that aswell. Actually found this comment there right now  about the forum shutdown.

"One of the biggest SJW shitholes for retards and perverts is finally shutting down. Thank you EA."

Will check out the forum you linked to.

To be honest, the fact that people keep posting these different sites, meaning that the forum community is just going to be scattered over the internet, has killed any desire I have to look into some other place.

Nothing can replace the BSN. The fact that these were the official forums meant something.

One silver lining... sort of... is that it won't be a struggle for me to drop out of the DA fandom after the announcement of DA4, since these forums won't exist. Hell, right now I'm not even sure that DA4 or Bioware will exist.
