Tbh, I don't even know if I want to go anywhere. Bioware has kind of disgusted me with this decision. I am unliking their pages and hibernating in a cave until Andromeda comes out. Then I will be excited but contain myself so I do not waste my money. In the end, I will probably join some forum and see how the game was received.
Damn. the anticipation for MEA will be fun...

Dragon Age and Mass Effect's subreddits are okay. They're kind of snobby tho when it comes to talking about the BSN which is funny since I'd wager a good portion of them came from the BSN. Although I don't think reddit is a viable alternative to a forum message board for a variety of reasons.

People being snobby about us?
We should raid their subforums.

That's what I've heard about the reddit Mass Effect subforum, that it's basically one big circlejerk.
As long as they don't hate Kasumi, we wont have an issue.

It seems really strange that they're removing the forums when we probably have less than six months to go. Isn't a lot of hype generated here?

Yh, it's bizzaro over there compared to here.
Over here, most people don't like or care about Kaidan (Not my opinion but I've seen it a lot). Over there, they love Kaidan and bash Ashley all the time.

I think they like Kasumi, you have to refer to Shepard as "she" too. No love for male shep there.

Exactly. This has just ruined the day for me. Such a weird decision marketing-wise. There is definitely more to it than 'these forums were created to connect with our fans'

IKR, any mention of Ashley there and you get a number of comments saying "She's a bigoted racist!!!!!". Atleast here the hate for Kaiden isn't too extreme.

Honestly? I doubt that we generate that much hype outside of our fanbubble. In the end, most of us are going to buy the next ME/DA/Godknowswhat anyways. Sure, telling each other how much we love the trailer and co is nice and all, but I doub't that we are helping the marketing team.
On Twitter/FB trailers can be shared and on reddit there's always the gaming subreddit.

I would also suggest this site. I use it to post in the Dragon's Dogma thread (and occasionally SWtOR, ME, The Witcher and AC). They are pretty nice folks over there.
I am known as Kaidan Fan over there as well!

All the work I put into that skill tree thread I did for inquisition, too. ![]()
I think i'll miss the troll threads the most. ![]()

Well that's just reddit's nature in general. You post a popular opinion, but state that the post is actually an unpopular opinion in the thread title or opening post, and people flock to yes manning you like moths to a flame. I know less about the ME subreddit than the DA one, but the DA one is pretty good. They hate Vivienne tho from my experience. Never heard of/had any issues with the mods tho.

Actually it seems logical.
If they were considering shutting BSN for longer time they have to do it before main hype start, because it always attract new wave of newcomers. Also some pissed fans from BSN should calm down during main hype and settle in other forums.

I liked Vivien, I thought her opinion on Mages staying in the towers was pretty sensible.
