You might annoy them with an orchestrated shitpost effort, but nothing can hurt them back as effectively as a drop in sales that can be explained by nothing other than shutting down the forum. And the lack of the support actually provided by other gamers in these forums. In some other thread it was also pointed out, that after a player contacts some help sites/lines, the helpdesk tells them to look for answers in these forums!
I'm hatefully happy to see all that turn into some "X hit the fan scenario" with new games, when there's no forum nor helpful older gamers to provide that info and help for the newcomers.
