Why is that? Out of curiosity basically... not that I'm so eager to post there myself :).

I dont have any idea who those people are. Nexus is owned by DarkOne who personally worked with us to get nexus pages up for nwn1/2 when old vault when down, and Nexus has been around for a long time. New vault is run by longtime nwn1/2 community members.

I will post on the unofficial BSN as well as the other places if/when they recreate the subforum structure we have here.  I found their enthusiasm and positive-focus charming and appealing.  I want to see more positivity.

The NWN2 Mod Talk forum has been having a sizable burst of activity, too.  :)

Better make our decision quick. Biomods are intent on shoving us out the door.

Excellent. I wonder what the rush is all about now. Could be something more than what they say... who knows. I went through that official talk about the decision (where they redirect from the link you give us) and all I see from Bioware employees is double-talk and stating the same again and again. No clear answer... at all. Suggesting that twitter is just as good to discuss lore means these people don't even know their own games or basically that they have never played RPGs and that that they have never done such a thing... discussing lore in a forum for example. Good riddance. It started as sad news but it gets more and more like... I don't really care. We'll migrate (me personally, I will keep looking and posting on vault, nexus and UBSN when they subforum) and keep modding and not buy the next games. At least me. I already vomited on DA:I.

Well, I can't say I'm pleased with BW decision. The more time passes, the more I despise financial people.

[***] reasons just to make a few short term savings. And very sorry for the guys who might be laid off. Despite people are devoting time to their games, these dudes just decide to kill their forum which is obviously active and obviously not limited to NWN.

Anyway, I don't see the point in arguing about Nexus vs Neverwinter Vault. Both are valuable assets, IMO. Of course the Vault is NWN oriented and should be the main reference location. But Nexus is a multi games oriented site with an established audience. We have still both, it's fortunate at that time.

Just my 2 cents.

BTW thanks rjshae to already move stuff from BW to the Vault.

What financial people mainly care about is the bottom line. Even if the social media isn't as good as a forum, it only needs to be good enough... and cheaper. That's how the bean counter brain functions (and why any type of technical support now s*cks greasy pigs).

I rarely find the rationales for corporate actions given by a company's PR department to be coherent, believable, or to match observable conditions and evidence.  They need to hire more creative people with a solid background in logic and reason.

Appears to be a false assertion. No matter, they don't have any NWN/NWN2 forums anyway.

A little bit much perhaps but I'm not going to worry about it.  If they can save my posts from the last few years then I'm ok agreeing to it.

I'll be Kaldor_Silverwand there.  Their registration process didn't accept my embedded space.

They seem to be making an attempt, at the rate of adding one subforum per day, but started with NWN1 for some reason.  They have them for the three main campaigns, plus general.

personally i wouldn't touch that forum with a ten foot pole. its admin is a transsexual, mentally unstable guy. (s)he's also known for causing a lot of drama in the bsn posting with different accounts. those accounts even talk with each other imitating distinct personae. btw the false closure of the ubsn was one of his/her meltdowns, executed only to get precious attention. to stir up anxiety (s)he actively signs up with other community forums talking **** about their operators, presumably to drive the users to his/her own forum.

imo it's best for the modding community to stay at the nexus and the nvault.

I don't really care about the transexual part, but yeah the rest is troubling. Thanks for the head's up.
