Thanks Al, gave me a belly laugh right there. I try to abide like the Dude most of the time while keeping my inner Walter in check, at the same time as living a life recently feeling as clueless as Donnie with no frame of reference.

Given Bioware's recent history it doesn't surprise me one bit.  I'm just like "yep".  If someone higher up at EA happened to read these forums on a whim then I can easily see how they wouldn't want this place associated with their company.  As far as forums go, this one has to be the one that has made me just tilt my head and stare blankly at the screen the most.

 

At least we can respawn elsewhere and all be special snowflakes again.

I've wondered aloud before if Bioware wouldn't like to be less beholden to some of the more..fringe elements of its fanbase. I also wonder if they aren't thinking that it's bad business to provide a consolidated platform for organizing grievances against them and their games. I'm not exactly Bioware's biggest fan, but some of my problems with the company is that it seems to reflect the most the fans I like the least.

If there's a chance that they'll start making games again instead of undergraduate poli sci projects, I might consider buying a new release again, something I haven't done since ME2. If burning down the forums might allow them to do that, I'm in.

Honestly, though, I expect the same amount of douchebaggery to continue from all sides.
