I was never going to get ME:A in the first place. Closing the forums just confirmed I made the right choice.

BIoware lost me as a Day One customer years ago. They could only regain that status with me by shedding the orthodoxy of the BSN. I'd like to believe, for my own selfish reasons, that this is what they're doing. But it's really not.

Even if I have a PS4/Xbox one by the time this game gets released there's no ****** way I'll buy this day one after what they pulled.

 

I might buy it used but no way I'll give them the full price.

I probably will, I have with every Bioware game from Mass Effect 1 on, but I'm not 100%  sure of it. I need to see more from the game and maybe some reviews.

After today I likely won't even know when day one is.

Must suck not using this thing called the internet. Can I introduce you to these things called Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Reddit, Twitch, Commercials, Game Journalism site, the mass effect website?

I'm probably going to buy day one or at least around that time.  The fact that they're closing down BSN does leave a sour taste in my mouth but it's not going to stop me from buying ME:A.

The best reason to play on day 1 was always to avoid running into spoilers. Now that will be easy, so I don't see any reason not to wait for patch 2 or 3.

That's where I am with this. I was going to pre-order, but if there's no BSN that I'm eager to report back to after playing then what's the rush? May as well wait for a discount.

But if I'm honest,  I had always intended picking up MEA second hand after the ME3 fiasco but I did envisage that position softening when the forums started to get going with the hype.  Not anymore.

 

So, I'll be aiming to get it second hand for xbox one fairly soon after release, as it is unlikely that my PC will be able to run it, and I can't afford an upgrade.

Normally all bioware games are day one buys and i have no doubt i'll get the game but heck if i will actually know when it comes out.  I got all of my bio info from these forums.  I don't go to gaming review forums unless there is a link in these fourns, i don't do twitter, get all my twitter info from on here.  I hate facebook, only go there when family members nag me to,

My usual tactics apply here. No pre-order, wait for reviews to come in to see if the game is any good and actually worth the $60 USD that they'll be asking for it.

 

If I think it's worth it, it'll be a day 1 or 2 buy.

Probably. I'll wait until it's closer and we have more information, but I live in a remote location (so buying on day 1 is like day 7 or 9 if the weather's kind to mail planes, by which time the hilarious bugs have been patched). That being said, I've never preordered a game without being confident I'll like it. I'm pretty confident that Andromeda will amuse me, but I'd like to see more information before I pull any triggers.

This game in particular is the first in a new trilogy............
