I'll buy it used, don't need to give BioWare more money.

What?
Mass Effect and Dragon Age had ever increasing sales figures with each new iteration?
Totally false. ME2 outsold ME1 and ME3. DA2 only sold half as many copies as DAO. And BioWare/EA refuse to release sales figures for DAI, which indicates weak sales.
This game in particular is the first in a new trilogy............
Also false, but also irrelevant. BioWare has never said anything about MEA being the start of a trilogy but even if that were the goal from the start there's no reason to assume that means 2 more games are definitely coming. Series are canceled all the time.

Well, sort of. Companies like EA have moved away from releasing precise sales figures to avoid spooking investors. But I think it's pretty obvious that DA:I didn't exactly set the gaming world on fire.

Right now i'm leaning against buying at release, though months down the line i may relent especially if i somehow manage to hear any news about the game now that the forums where i'd come to digest such information will have been burned down.

Well I wasn't going to buy unless I got good reviews from people I trust who played the game.
Gee, where am I going to find those reviews now?

Thing is I can wait 2 weeks for a used copy with a trade and then use what I saved to buy DLC some days I leave the store without paying at all. (My library was large... WAS.)

If it get's TW3 review from fans and critics I trust, yes. Otherwise, I can hold off playing Mass Effect: Inquisition until the bargain bin.

Can't even remember the last time I bought anything on day 1. Might actually be ME3...
These days I've gotten into this habit of being interested in a game, it comes out, I don't get around to buying it, life moves on, I may eventually bother with it some time later.

Most Likely.
It's the only game that I'm even excited for, and I have $60 already saved up just for this game.

I'm buying it on Day one. I want to play it when it comes out, not wait for other people to tell me what to think about the game. I'm going to experience it for myself.
Hey, look.
I wild idiot appeared.
I'd throw a poke ball at it but its one of those unpopular ones that nobody wants to play with.
