Sure, I'm pre-ordering. If I know what I'm getting in a BioWare game (new characters to have deeper interactions with, a decent roleplaying experience, lots of replayability), then I don't see why not. Despite being annoyed with certain design decisions in some games, Bio hasn't majorly disappointed me, especially when it comes to the aspects I value.

Might as well enjoy those frivolous pre-order bonuses to go along with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly, the thing I was most excited about with ME:A was coming here to discuss gameplay and decisions.  Now that that is gone, I'm just going to sit back and wait for reviews and a sale.  Even if the game is great (which I sincerely hope it will be), there is no rush to get it.  None of my friends play ME, and without the forums, there is no incentive to beat it quickly to avoid spoilers.

I've posted in other threads that I will preorder the game. That hasn't changed with the announcement of the forums closing.

Wow. What a joke.

They clearly don't mind if we disperse and continue our sordid business, as they've been pretty supportive of the fan created sites. They do not, however, want BSN undesirables spilling onto their official pages, regardless of their official statement. That's why they're killing this official forum, the embarrassing blemish that they will be glad to be rid of, finally.

As others have said, there's little reason to rush to play the game, without a community with which to share the experience, afterward. I greatly enjoyed finishing that first playthrough and then dropping into the BSN to see what everyone's initial impressions were. I'd usually do a second playthrough before returning to discuss the hell out of every facet of the game. It really adds to the experience, for me.

Now, with no thriving community waiting (more than likely), I have no impetus to rush. I can wait for more honest, non-spoilery reviews. I can wait for discounts. I can gather word of mouth from other gamers I trust, if I can find them. (This bit became more difficult when I became abruptly disabled a couple of years ago. You, BSNers, were these gamers, now.)

I was really looking forward to giving MEA's MP features a thorough try. I figured I had some solid connections here on the BSN, in terms of finding compatible gamers when the time arrived.

Now, I essentially feel no particular drive to play on day one. I will likely play MEA, barring a few features I've been waiting to see, regardless. By killing the shared community experience, though, BioWare has dampened my enthusiasm greatly.
