You guys do realize that the boards.net one looks like it was a graded F high-school project from the 90s, right?

I wouldn't even call it a Beta right now, the sizes/proportions of everything are very wrong, the usability is on-par with reddit....

Sure, there are some great ideas there, but come see in me 6 months, maybe then it might be better (but I doubt it).

I hope everyone who ends up there are happy there. But I won't be joining, not that anybody would miss me there, not that I had any problem with CS. It's just that I'm not a very social person, I only started posting and interacting with people here because MEMP, there was a lot of fun things going on at that time. But I guess it's time to move on, not just yet. I will stick around until the end,   And see what kind of trouble I can get into.

I am telling you guys...this is our life raft...until we can all figure out exactly what we want to do.... We can all go there together. Cassandra might seem strange to people but damn man, she went to all the trouble of creating a website nearly identical to what we have here..and she is also one of us....That website will take in all of us..not to mention the displaced single player campaign players / dragon age people, etc........All of the people that are about to be kicked out of this website... and it will provide almost the exact same experience that all of us are getting here..with even more freedom..we can become our own moderators..what the hell?.....I am going there the day after we are done here... I really want each and every single one of you guys to come over there with me and just give it a chance...1 shot...if it doesnt work out...we go and try to find somewhere else...I have been checking out 7 different places....and cassandras is the one that is most catered to us. She is one of us and I feel we owe it to ourselves to see what it would be like to be in a place that we could truly call our own.

Prestacious has a new forum and site, I don't do themed challenges unless someone asks but I reckon the overall maturity and respectability of anyone who joins the new site will be pretty legit.

It is hard to follow which forum has a beef with which people.  Has anybody made a chart or diagram of all the splinter forums to explain it quickly?

Especially if they were members of Code Blue, a private group on the old BSN of which superblaze was a member at the time. The extent of the manipulations was very severe, and included a lot of stealing credit for other people's work. The community very understandably went from amusement to frustration when community projects and fan art was suddenly repurposed and superblaze claimed to have created it. Some members of the armed forces were particularly offended by some of the claims regarding prior military career and exploits. Yeah, I can see that. Just the fact that people are seriously considering joining the Cassandra Saturn forum or have already done so... I'd love to imagine the 20 page s***storm that would have spawned from even the idea of there being a CS forum just a few years back... Some people on this forum have short memories...

I'm with you on this. I don't see how you could've witnessed everything that went down, and still think it's a good idea. I just don't.

I too have been hearing from several others it is not a good idea to join that forum because of who's running it. Nothing against CS personally but given the history from what others have said, probably not the wisest choice. I'm sorry.

 

I've googled a bit after CS and I've decided that I won't join a forum which is adminned (can this be a verb?    ) by her. Shame, because it looks like the best so far. Prestacious' site is really cool, but it focuses on the Themed Challenge which I was never good enough to participate in it, and its forum is not my cup of tea. The MP reddit has too few users and reddit itself is just a poor man's version of a proper forum. I like reddit, but it is not good as a replacement for a forum like this.

So I'm going to wait before I choose another place.
