I haven't really posted here for a couple of years now, but I was active from Neverwinter Nights release up until then.  Some of you may remember me, many probably don't.  At any rate, I just needed to come back and comment about how disgusted I am with the fact that my good friend, DragonRacer was permanently banned from here for dropping an F bomb.

 

Dragon is the author of the Resource Libraries that are stickied at the tops of the ME3 MP and DAI MP forums.  She's been a SERIOUS advocate for BioWare, beloved my many users here, and has a long list of friends at BioWare that she has played many a game with.

 

Her banning here over what was formerly considered a minor offense is, in a word, horrible.  She was shedding tears for losing this place, and then she was permanently banned for one upset post.

 

BSN/The BioWare Forums are already dead, if this is considered acceptable here.  I have purchased nearly all of BioWare's games, myself, but that likely just changed.

I saw this mentioned. It's disgusting. I rarely venture beyond DAI's MP section unless I'm looking for news (and watching brown storms like this one), but even I know the level of dedication when it comes to DragonRacer and BioWare, and that's just from when this forum alone was really active with events and coming content.

 

BioWare is the problem here, and all they have to defend any of it is patronising, contradictory BS. Ridiculous.

Couple of favourite DragonRacer moments;

1. Chatting on the mic playing DAMP. Wife walks in room and asks "Is that a woman you are talking to?"
Real jealous lol

2. Ages ago we were doing FC NM. DR and 2 others faded on zone 4 near beginning. Proceeded to solo the zone and heard DR on the mic say "Jesus Christ Smurf!"

Ah memories.

Yes very nice thanks for a person essentially doing their job for them over two different multi players games making and keeping up a resource guide used by thousands.

 

100% clear evidence that these jokes have ZERO clue about any of their fan base.  May as well ban Hrunger, wavebend and alike all the other people that actually did biowares jobs for them.,

 

What a total botched hatchet job this all is.

 

I will say one thing, this is pretty clear that they are doing the right thing because Bioware people, at least the mods and the powers that be have zero clue who their trouble maker anti fans are who their casual fans are and who their really valued fans are (the ones that contribute a lot of their own time to help others.)

 

These idiots should be embarrassed.  (And I'm saying this not having any clue who the idiots are because there are a lot of good bioware people.)

This is unacceptable. DAI MP resource library helped me hugely when I first started. I am thankful that Dragonracer and many others put so much effort in to make it a great place for learning everything about DAIMP. It's a shame the moderaters (or mod-bots) would ban truly dedicated Bioware fans without even bothering to consider how much hardwork and contribution they have done for the community.

This has been the most bizarre and confusing 24 hours of my online life.

 

But thank you, one and all, for the kind words and righteous indignation. During my exile, it made me smile to know how many I touched.

I'm hardly a long time BSN-er, but even I could tell, right from the start of my time here, how dedicated you were to biower games and this community. It may all be a moot point in a month's time, but it wouldn't have been right to not have you here for the last hurrah.
