I haven't really posted here for a couple of years now, but I was active from Neverwinter Nights release up until then.  Some of you may remember me, many probably don't.  At any rate, I just needed to come back and comment about how disgusted I am with the fact that my good friend, DragonRacer was permanently banned from here for dropping an F bomb.

Dragon is the author of the Resource Libraries that are stickied at the tops of the ME3 MP and DAI MP forums.  She's been a SERIOUS advocate for BioWare, beloved my many users here, and has a long list of friends at BioWare that she has played many a game with.

Her banning here over what was formerly considered a minor offense is, in a word, horrible.  She was shedding tears for losing this place, and then she was permanently banned for one upset post.

BSN/The BioWare Forums are already dead, if this is considered acceptable here.  I have purchased nearly all of BioWare's games, myself, but that likely just changed.

It was an over reaction to ban her.

Wow. That's horrible and deeply troubling. It's completely expected and obviously human nature to react poorly when something you've invested a ton of time and effort into is getting shut down. Why wasn't that taken into consideration?

She was un-banned, so you can still reach her here.

Edit: Draining Dragon... You're one good

Because there is a... variance in communication, I believe, between BioWare and the things that occur here. I won't go into more detail, but those with the higher authority reviewed the situation and gave me new life.

I am back, thankfully.

But other ways of reaching me include:

Twitter - @TiffanyMLowe

PS Network/XBox Live/Origin/Steam - DragonRacer13

And I'll PM you my email address, honestly, because if you and EP want to have any brainstorms about continuing fan community informative work post-BioWare forums, I'd like to be a part of that conversation.

@DragonRacer;  Glad you're back.

I'm posting the following everywhere I see discussion of the closure of the BSN.

If you'd like more information, feel free to PM me.

The Nexus (www.nexusmods.com) is the largest private (non-commercial) collection of sites in the world dedicated to modding PC (and now some console) games.

It's been operating for over 10 years, originally only supporting Morrowind.  Currently, it's hosting 206,888 files for 374 games from 61,683 authors serving 11,464,279 members with 1,553,607,698 (yes, that's over 1.5 BILLION!) downloads to date. (Member registration is free, but it is required to download files over 2MB.)  It also hosts a wiki site with articles for a half-dozen-or-so of the most popular games, including the original Dragon Age.

For DAI alone there are 1,136 files with 4.16 million d/l's.

The Nexus Staff have reached to the BioWare Staff to see if it might be possible to transfer the BSN "Projects" archive, but there's been no response yet (message only sent this past Friday afternoon.)

We'll see...
