Hey Everyone,
The project pages will remain online in read only mode after October 25th when the public forums are taken offline. There is no set date for when they will be taken offline, and we will let you know if and when this happens.
We appreciate the notification. Thank you. However, this news should have been conveyed as part of the original announcement. The fact that you as the Community Manager have been utterly silent for two and half weeks in face of the constant questions the community has asked about Projects and other content is utterly ridiculous. Note that the questions about all that other content (Blogs, DLC, Patches, and more) have yet to be answered.
To say that news about this closure has been handled incredibly poorly is a severe understatement.

@Community -- The archiving effort for projects will continue (albeit at a blessedly slower pace). While we appreciate BioWare keeping them open for now (this is very surprising), their handling of this situation has resulted in a complete loss of confidence in their ability to communicate important information about community and modder-owned content to the community. We have no way to know if or when they will remove projects, but with the impending closure of the forums I think we can assume their days are numbered (and have been since the closure of BSN).
We'll continue to get in touch with authors to let them know about the situation (many folks we've found, do not know), and encourage them to host their content elsewhere. Thus, when Projects are removed, the inventory will already be in place and a majority of them will be available elsewhere on the web. The new BCN website will also continue to convey information about impacts of the closure and the inventorying effort.
