What if BioWare is worried their game might not be that good, or at least that good enough to please the crazy expectations of this forum. Remember last time when ME3 was getting all the crazy backlash? No place was more vocal and quoted in other media.
Shutting down forum an Andromeda marketing scheme?

We were the Krogan.
We rebelled.
The BSN is Canrum
The last big push, before the rebellions ended.
Before Bioware loses revenue for doing this deed.

I'm not sure I would call that a marketing scheme.
IT's just the special little snowflakes at Bioware are tired of all the genuine heartfelt opinions. Specifically, the ones that aren't kissing their butts. Their poor lil feelwings are hurt and so enough is enough. Makes you think they are proactively dealing with future unfavorable opinions. Because that "no devs post here so it's pointless" line is pure bs. People come here to interact with other players. Not talk to devs. If they aren't confident in MEA why should anyone be?

They want to cover their precious money covered ears from feedback they don't want.
Well yes. But from a marketing standpoint, this is a good move. Wrong. But a good move.

How is it a good move? All their doing is losing consumers and fans, lol. It might be good for marketing, but not so good for their wallets

Well think about it. This forum can be like one big mob. And how do you handle an angry mob. You disperse it. After this place shuts down, everybody is going to migrate to different areas.

I still believe BW won't rely solely on Twitter for their official media. It's too limited.
They must have some plans ready for a new network (or similar) for when Andromeda is released.
We'll just have to wait and see.

I probaly would've moved on by then. Okay, Bethesda, your my last and only hope now.

It's more gain then loss. Posters here are more BioWare dedicated fans then anywhere else. Meaning we're still going to keep giving them money because of it. If not, we'll soon forgive and forget. And the gains of shutting this voice = less vocal backlash against Andromeda and future BioWare titles.

It is a marketing scheme. On social media BW/EA have much more control of what they put on the spotlight whereas here in the forums it's no holds barred. Just remember: the whole ME3 ending debacle mushroomed to the mainstream media because of the forums. Here we can scrutinize and theorize about the game in much more detail than in a controlled environment like Twitter or Reddit.

If they really believed that they wouldn't have all these positive tweets, positive feedback from leakers, awesome trailers, spend five years on it, and even make the game at all? The endings have nothing to do with this game and DAI wasn't even that bad plus it's dragon age. Mass Effect has been more than spectacular in the past. What if BioWare is worried their game might not be that good, or at least that good enough to please the crazy expectations of this forum. Mass Effect 3 was a big let down to me. And I'm not just talking about the ending. Story, lore, difficulty, etc, all bad. Multiplayer was the only thing that saved it.

Ok. That's your opinion. Here's a tip of advice, don't get Andromeda and leave the fanbase cause nobody cares.Mass Effect 3 was a big let down to me. And I'm not just talking about the ending. Story, lore, difficulty, etc, all bad. Multiplayer was the only thing that saved it.

There's nothing to be conspiratorial about it all, they explained exactly why they are doing what they are doing...
They also just left open why they were going to other places, and that reason is simple, all the non-constructive abuse from here.

I don't get the tip and what it has to do with me or the topic.

Alright. Then how about this. Does it make sense from a marketing perspective that shutting down the forum is for the better?

Does it make sense from a business perspective to harras the talented and uniquely skilled people into leaving the company so that they no longer have the same talent to sustain the quality expected from fans of the franchise?

We're not harassing them, they ignore us. They don't even post on here much anymore. Seriously, this is just a sign that they couldn't care less, lo.

I suppose Bioware didn't think of that. They may as delete there accounts on there too, if they can't stand feedback they don't like.
