But yes this would imply eyebrows are self aware, though they need not be as this is a hypothetical question.

To me it's more of a lore thing. Real creatures have scales feathers or hair. Rarely a mix I think.

Based purely on my observations, I was of the opinion, that usually eyebrows (hairy representatives) don't use asari as their hosts. 

But after we encountered eyebrows with asari, I'm starting to wonder can it implicitly prove that eyebrows have self-awareness? And maybe, just maybe, they capable of evaluating themselves, creating self-concepts and making independent decisions?...

 

"Sense" is overrated imo.

Yes, I also suspect sentient eyebrow lifeforms that have possibly formed a symbiotic relationship with the Asari in Andromeda. Probably attracted by the innate biotic qualties of Asari physiology which could possibly facilitate some form of communication.
