Gaider is the person who tweeted about writing a new DA novel, writing Fenris again and then acted like fans were lunatics when they asked about the status of that after he left Bioware. To say he has a...contentious relationship with fans is putting it mildly at best.

I was never aware of a potential Fenris novel. Probably because it wasn't announced here. Or mentioned by a dev posting here.

I don't know. Biowaremod08 might be a notable contender. They've certainly been pretty ready to crack the whip with me recently.

It's probably not helped by Gaider's standard tone of snark and sarcasm, which is easily misconstrued in written form without context. I like to hope that not all of his posts which come across as a bit blunt unjustifiably are actually mean spirited. But IMO if he posts on social media he should at least recognize that his words are captured in time and the nature of the fanbase is to analyze and reanalyze anything he says. It's not fair and I'm sure it's frustrating for an individual, but he can always make a fake account to post his "honest" opinions about things and leave his named account as an official one.

His response to people pointing out that it was his own tweets that told him about the novel with Fenris he was working on was, essentially, "Yeah, well I forgot about that. Sue me." He's a very petty person with no respect for the fans. It was also him who told us that the name of the big horned dudes in Dragon Age is Kossith, but later went on multiple rants and hissyfits over people calling them Kossith, insisting instead that we call them all Qunari, even though Qunari is just a term for followers of the Qun and not the race of people that created the Qun. He seems to have emotional problems.

Ah Gaider. Whatever his talents, PR is not one of them.
And if anyone in BW is living under the delusion that shutting down the forums is going to silence criticism, think again.
Seems like shutting down free discussion is all the rage lately, kudos for jumping on the bandwagon Bioware.
Gaider, always the nice guy... . Let's see, how he handles the beamdog crowd.
