It reeks of tumblrina in here.
My point exactly. I can't see making a deliberate move to a site where I know the things I dislike most about BSN will be the foundation on which the site is built. Good for many here at BSN, I suppose, but not for me.

Hello homeless!
I'm here to make you a very strange proposition: http://bioware.ru. Yes, it even does not have English interface. But it recently changes it's design, and the programmer still working on it, so...
In all seriousness, the forum design it has is immaculate. I'm a fan.

Many of the actions taken were anything but harmless. I honestly doubt you could be aware of the extent of it, as you claim.
I, for example, got to watch for a year in Code Blue while superblaze would proudly brag about their plans to make a controversial thread so they could report all the people they don't like and get them banned. And it worked, a lot. Until Ninja Stan got so fed up with it that he put in a request to
Jessie(Edit: I apologize, it was not the current administrator, but the previous one, I believe Jeff... something. Not sure.) asking that superblaze be permabanned.
And then, out of the very sympathy you espouse, that decision was kiboshed because superblaze was seen as a victim by some of the moderation staff. Ninja Stan was the outlier, and the named mods were replaced a few months later.
So I have less faith that superblaze will be trying to "rise above," especially since the behaviour patterns haven't changed in the slightest in four years.
I was not aware of this.
Also, in the other thread I see she is using her alt to talk herself up as a person "who did a lot for the transgender community last year."
Some things don't change, it seems.
I'm out.

My, at this time opinion is, that this is a temp solution, a quick fix for now, a life boat if you will..... until we all find a permanent home. We are all going to choose to go where we feel suits our needs at that time....and this is my reasoning behind it. I don't have an opinion one way or the other of the person that is being speculated about / talked about for past transgressions... I have read alot of information from one of the people who appeared to have a huge part in creating that place in some other threads....and to me, for now...that site seems the most similar to what we have here. I have been digging thru the internet, like all of you...searching for a new site to migrate to...and I just don't see any place that seems overwhelmingly appealing at this moment. I will be visiting the one that Techno helped with...as well as freelancing around to see where everyone else lands at , once this thing of ours is done. I know there have been talks of possible shady moderation on CS' site......well, then is it possible for another one of us to create a site that looks like hers and we could run it? I would be really into something like that...but for now...while our options appear to be, becoming more limited each day, as to where to go... these are the reasons I am choosing that site, for now.

Not to mention...that episode of The Outer Limits she did.... mother of the lord, our god. Old school Alyssa was dank.

I seriously, honestly, from the depths of my heart and mind, cannot fathom how anyone who's been here since 2014 could even slightly consider in the back of their heads giving any answer but the one I quoted, when asked to join a forum with Cassandra Saturn as a member, let alone a ****** admin.loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
Honestly. I understand this less than I understand people not willing to vaccine their children. And that's ****** saying something.
I guess the only seriously constructive thing I've got to say about this is, to anyone who hasn't been here that long:

Also, I'm not going to judge on the answer, despite what I said earlier might make it look like. I understand people in the world are very different than I am and am fine with it. It's what makes the world interesting.
I still don't understand them sometimes.

I'm not a judgemental person, really. Now if someone with the kind of history as CS wants to redeem themselves, then they need to build up that redemption, earn that respect. Jumping right into a Moderator role without first earning that redemption is doing it backwards. SHOW the community that you are going to be respectable, THEN when they respect you, they will trust you. CS is asking for trust without first earning respect.
I'm too old and been around too long to blindly trust words on a webpage. If CS can prove themselves to be trustworthy in the future, that's great. They have done nothing to prove it to me presently. And this is nothing personal. I couldn't care less what someone does in their spare time or identifies themselves as. All I care about here is the security of my personal information, and a semi-respectable community. If 200 people join CS forums, great, it's got the second part covered. I'm still not convinced of the first.

I'm just starting to view it like this... We are all on a ledge that we are being pushed off of ....There is no way we don't get pushed off that ledge....The only decision we get in this matter is to point to the exact spot that we are going to splatter onto ...while a few of us are trying to convince some of us not to jump without offering a viable option of where to land at...while at the same time, they are on that same ledge with us, getting pushed off as well. I mean, what can we really do in this situation..... ya know?

We needn't apologize for our preferences. The posts in this thread from Cassandra Saturn (site admin) and GeneralXIV (site moderator) are adequate demonstration that it's not going to be what I'd want in a gaming site. It doesn't matter if I'm an outlier of one or if I represent teeming masses who don't want that tone and direction in a forum site--the point is that I shouldn't go where I don't want to be. Neither should anyone else.I'm not a judgemental person, really...

No, don't be, man. This is good. This is the serious discussion that we all need to be having. ( with the occasional alyssa milano gif thrown in here & there). I feel this is the thread that will give everyone the options that we are all looking for. Just everyone..post the links of the places you have been checking out, describe your experience there and how you think it is the most viable option for us all. Just for me, as of now, I am headed for the CS site...but that could change...we still have 26 more days..I am very open to all options...and I want to hear from everyone, about the places they have checked out and why they like that site. I, for one, am saying a straight up NO to Reddit. That place is way too strict. After I was scrolling around the MEMP sections..it was just a jarbbled up mess of threads and comments that didnt seem to really be saying anything. I am open to all options as long as I hear what the site it, why did you like it..and how has your experience been so far on that particular site?

Heck, people do way crazier shits around the world anyway.
Beat of luck you, personally (on that site. I would rather hope we can still keep contacts in some way), and to any of the other cool peeps who are giving this a try.
