We need everyone we can get to come join us and keep our community alive.BioWare is obviously not worried about this place at this point,but I am.Without you guys my days(even at work)will be empty because this is the main social network I'm interested in,not BW,but you guys.So I ask that you give it a chance and just see,I mean what do you have to lose?At least keep it in mind when looking for a new place to chill.

On the other hand, I hear they reformed this thing called the "Ghostbusters," and if that's true, we ghosts are going to have to stick together.

I haven't heard anything about her, but the point of this is a fresh start for everyone. Clean slate. If everyone starts up this crap again "ZOMG you were mean to me on the official BSN" or whatever, then the toxicity this place is infamous for will never go away. And it'll be ya'll godamn faults.

That forum has a rule: No Trolling, which kind of ruins it for me. I prefer realdragonagefans.forums.net

 

Of course this highlights the problem of shutting down the forum in the first place.

Apparently he/she is responsible for a lot of craziness back in the day.  Many ppl were saying they wouldn't go near the forum with a barge pole because of it.  But you'd have to ask them, I'm just a little wary after reading ppl's opinions in BioWare's 'Concerning our forums' thread.

This is exactly why I'm not going there. A lot of people seems to be wary of this Cassandra person.

I visited one of her tumblr, and she was asking for donations for a console player so she could use twitch, and later asked donations to pay for her electric bills. That's a big indication she's frivolous and irresponsible, not someone ideal to maintain a forum.

 

Also, from what I've gathered here, she has almost as many sockpuppets as msscribe.

 

The place looks very nice and she is eager to please, you can see that as a positive but I find it all more suspect.

That's why I'm rooting for http://fextralife.com/forums/f95/.  It's a ghost town right now but it's a forum with a proven track record, an established community and isn't a quickly made fan forum (that could implode pretty quickly if things went wrong).  Just seems a bit more legit.

And https://realdragonagefans.forums.net is very friendly, I'm liking that one too.

If it has a proven track record then why is it indeed a ghost town? That place obviously isn't as "all that" as people are making it out to be.

I created the categories for Bioware yesterday. I have not been Pming people about the forum and I just created a thread letting people here know a few minutes ago. The forums we host in general, however, house over 800,000 posts covering several games, and we host the official forums for Lords of the Fallen and Salt and Sanctuary.  (http://fextralife.com/forums/index.php is the index)

 

It's a fansite, but I have dedicated my time and effort to my gaming hobby and I will do my best to provide a stable and happy home for anyone intersted
