The first step in migrating the most important content is to identify which content actually is the most important. This doesn't mean that total migration is ruled out, it might be possible to migrate or at least archive everything, but as a contingency plan in case that is not possible, best to be prepared with a list of the must-have content.

Post the DAI only link with post/thread title (see OP for examples)to a post or thread whose content you want to have hosted on a new site. Unless you say otherwise, only the OP (or first two posts, if OP is split) will be assumed to be important, not the whole thread.

From time to time, I'll gather the replies and copy to the OP. You can save me time by formatting the links as shown in this OP: title of thread as a url link.

Try to be selective. Reference content with staying power will benefit the most people. Threads or posts that are mostly text are best. I love the "Where Screenshots Go To Die" thread also, but mostly image threads like that need different handling. Stuff that is already hosted someplace else and just linked from here, like Starflorge's builds, are lower priority -- though in that specific case, having a single collection of links for all Starflorge builds would be very useful.

For cases where the owner is still active, my plan is to have a follow-up contact with instructions on how to port the content and where. For cases where the owner hasn't signed on in years, we'll have to figure something else out.

Here are all the Combat links from my browser bookmarks, as a starting point.

UPDATE: Following advice from https://forum.biowar...achine-archive/ I will start taking page-1 archive snapshots of everything in this list. So at least a read-only copy will be available online for as long at the Wayback Machine is still funded.

The DAO links are my faves, as I still playing it; currently in fact. And if any are ME1, those have been helpful, too.

Most other games have been less complex to play, and due to restrictions, are not as much fun for Build designs, IMO.

Links to CC sliders in my signature.  But you'd need all the pages.  Probably the "show me your female qunari/elf" or "post your inquisitor" but there are like 500 pages in there.  :/

 

Outside of DAI, I want AreleX's builds for rogue, mage, and warrior for DA2.  

 

I'm sure there are ME1/2/3 builds but I'm too depressed from Bioware's announcement to focus.
