This is the main problem for me rn, I've signed up to a couple of other forums but they're really... quiet. I'd happily welcome the opportunity to talk about non-BW stuff and BW stuff atm, but there's like, little feedback and few posts happening. I already miss active threads like say, drinkquistion, even tho I haven't posted there much myself... but every time I did I could reliably expect someone to respond in a matter of minutes, even if it was just to say 'oh hey ratpack!'. Now I feel like I'm speaking into a void.

 

That's not to say those are bad places, just that the splintering of the BSN is causing a major slowdown in communication, and it's really discouraging for me. And no, twitter, tumblr or facebook aren't going to suffice, because you kinda need to have an established group of people to talk to on those sites if you want someone to respond to you in a more meaningful manner than leaving a like.

 

I'm not a particularly chatty person, but I still feel a sense of displacement.

 

http://bsn.boards.net has an off-topic section and BioWare game sections (ME and DA). Drinkquisition thread moved to the Off-Topic section there, so it's still alive and has a new home there, run by lynroy. We also have the current DA, ME, and New IP Twitter threads with Hrungr anchoring them as always.

 

We currently have 1,041 members, 552 threads, and 29,781 posts in just the few weeks we have been open, so we're pretty active, I'd say.

For feck's sake. I finally read through more of this, took myself away from ubsn. I am not a therapist.

I am part of the group preserving the mods from BSN Legacy and I have a copy of the original ME website. If any owner (besides Fexelea where I have already imported myself) wants a copy of our master list let me know so I can make a post for your viewers

lol Magical Moderator Powers. I dig it. I think it needs to be put into a general information area? Maybe under Articles? That way information is directed towards people looking for BW Legacy mod information and can find it

What I want to know is where our forum skunks are going to wind up? One is already pretty much banned everywhere, but the others haven't made an appearance any where. The problem they are going to face is that they are known, but unloved. So it's up to the moderators of the lifeboat boards as to whether they are granted a fresh start. I hope so.

While I applaud your generous nature, I am more cynical and would predict that if any of the skunks go to fan boards, they will feel less inclination to censor themselves since the fan boards won't have the same rules as here. So I hope if any filter whatsoever is removed, the fresh starts are given but appropriate moderation closely follows.
