No one suggested snubbing anyone. The first person to mention anything actually spoke in favor of offering everyone a clean slate, and the person to respond to them also endorsed that approach, while stipulating careful moderation.
It seems that you may have perceived a sentiment that wasn't actually expressed.
As my previous response to this was to that general idea and to the open and closed hands that hold it, this is to answer you directly and plainly, Lady Artifice:
The concern that some individuals and groups would bring their petty grievances to bear upon others they dislike to new places and old is valid. As the words to which you and I refer appear to convey. Your and mine's interpretation varies as to future dealings of the speakers and of those spoken but who can judge whose slate needs cleaning and whose doesn't as only one side is speaking and deriding the other.
As to that "careful moderation" of which you speak, this brings the question of "What does that mean exactly?". That doesn't sound like a clean slate but a probation with history in mind and special treatment.
And what of keeping an eye out for usernames of those labelled and dehumanized in the registrations in these new forums? Creepy behavior to say the least.
However, to give you the benefit of the doubt, you may be right. Although, it seems unlikely the way crosses are borne. Time will tell.
