With that being out of the way. I must say in my brief visit to RPGcodex that I don't think I'll feel welcome there. In that site, if you're a Bethesda, Bioware fan or a fan of an RPG they don't like then you will be treated terribly. Judging by some of the posts, they seem self-righteous and judgmental. At least with the BSN, even if I have an unpopular opinion, I can be respected and contribute to the community. I don't think I can say the same for RPGcodex who (at least from my point of view) possess an elitist attitude. The other recommended sites are great though and should be checked out.

Changing gears a bit...

 

I wanted to let everyone know that I successfully exported the entire Mass Effect Andromeda forum. This includes, usernames, post time, post content, topics.
I am now working on a conversion to phpbb.

 

I have also scraped a tiny subforum with just about 10 posts, that I will convert and screenshot to post here for proof of concept.

 

Once I do this, I'll be able to say that I can definitively save everyone's post history, and we'll have to coordinate account creation and claiming.

 

Keep those chants to the maker going, they are working!

I can say that despite claims to the contrary that here, more than anywhere else, I feel more comfortable with my buttton of unpopular opinions regarding the whole ME series and DA series. 

 

Meaning- while I know a majority of people don't like DA2 for instance, I also KNOW that there are still going to be people around here who love it as much as I do. And a host of other unpopular opinions. 

 

If someone responded to my enjoyment of any factor of these games by scoffing, insulting, or deriding me, I just give zero F's about that. *shrugs*

 

IMO BSN hasn't really shunned people completely unless you are a complete fool about game mechanics. As in thinking Explosive Rounds in ME3 MP are badassery. 

 

Coming here can mean the difference between knowing Explosive Rounds are like firecracker sparklers and not worth using mostly- and friends don't let friends use Explosive rounds unless it's a dufus challenge.

Well, that's no surprise since they're the total anti-thesis of the BSN. (Almost) no moderation, hardcore RPG fans (as in like RPGs from 20 years ago of course) etc. etc.

There's lots of constructive criticism but they're totally annhihilating series that are being seen as "decline". It's fun to watch them troll each other and newcomers. BSNers going over would be funny indeed (for me to observe at least)

I don't know what people expected from CS. She (well, I'm really not sure if that pronoun applies but I guess I'll do the respectful thing and use it since she's using it herself... despite, well not really having a reason for it?) has always made stuff up. Not even believeable stuff, really fantastic stuff. Several alt accounts, drama out of nowhere etc...

... and now she's at college, owns a game studio and runs two (?) forums, for which she runs advertisments using an alt account. M'kay.

 

Even completely disregarding her entire past here on BSN, the shenanigans over at uBSN are more than enough reason to move to another forum.

I refuse to go somewhere with all that third person pretending to be someone else mental drama. Its a recipe for disaster. You'll find me in a bunch of other places.

Folks, for the sake of forum integrity, make sure you're obvious about your gimmicks and characters. Don't actually try to portray yourself as multiple people, its spammy and brings forums down.

Because you might not have made the necessary rolls to stay sane after dealing with that mess and unconciously avoided it? It was mostly an offtopic thing, with some leakage into ME3MP.
