Alternative wiki and forum tests

I spent some time experimenting with manual migration on the Fextralife wiki and forum. I need to learn a bit more about wiki structuring before I can migrate one of the GUIDES, but the forum looks at least as functional as BSN.

PROS
It is super easy to create new wiki articles (pages). You just edit an existing page, create a link, select "wiki page" as the type of link, and save. When you click on the link you created, you are taken to a page creation page.
Editing existing or new pages is also super easy. It has a rich text editing mode that is a superset of the features of the BSN editor.
Tables are easy to create. Since tables are common item in guides and reference material, this is a big plus.
Templates can be created for repetitive content, like Sigil descriptions.
CONS
Wiki articles do not use BBCode markup, so any links, styling or layout you've done with BBCode have to be redone by hand.
The background of a wiki page is dark, so any dark colors you've used for styling have to be redone.
YouTube links are not automatically converted into embeds.

fforum: http://fextralife.co...the-golden-nug/
PROS
BBCode ports easily, just cut & paste from markup mode.
Editor has a superset of functionality over BSN rich text mode.
Quoting and replying work like BSN.
Posts have a like/dislike feature, but requires a comment to be attached, it's not one-click like BSN.
While not relevant for reference content, it's easy to create a poll in a forum post.
CONS
There's no purely rich text mode in the forum editor. It's BBCode mode only, though there is a static preview function.
The forum has a dark background, so any dark colors you used have to be changed by hand.
YouTube links are not automatically turned into embeds.
Videos can be embedded, but the embedded player requires Flash.
While functionally the editor is a superset, the BBCode syntax for some commonly used stuff, like inline images and quotes, are slightly different. So some massaging is required to get things to look right. Test thread here: http://fextralife.co...opy-paste-test/
It's a bit annoying that a) you can't access the full editor if you type a quick reply -- you have to post a draft first, then edit it, and B) once you are editing a reply, you can't see the original thread anymore.

RDF: https://realdragonag...nced-golden-nug
PROS
BBCode support for spoilers (but see below).
While YouTube links are not automatically embedded, it is easy to turn a link into an embed with "video" tags. The player does not require Flash.
Posts have both Like and LOL one-click feedback options.
While editing a post, you can see the original context of the thread at the same time, just like BSN.
CONS
BBCode support uses different syntax for some items. I had to convert the bullet lists from the guide by hand. YMMV. Test thread here: https://realdragonag...copy-paste-test
No Emoticons are compatible.
GIFs are allowed in signatures and avatars, making threads more visually noisy.
NEUTRAL
BSN and fforum centers forum content with a floating background. RDF right aligns content with a left column reserved for global content pods, like a standing Welcome message.

pbBSN: http://bsn.boards.ne...copy-paste-test
PROS
Uses the same forum software as RDF, so results are identical.
However, the forum design is much cleaner. No gifs in signatures or avatars. No pods on the left, content is centered.
CONS
BBCode support uses different syntax for some items. I had to convert the bullet lists from the guide by hand. YMMV.
No Emoticons are compatible, same problem as RDF.

The structure I'm shooting for is a top-level page that is a "table of contents" with links to individual article pages. There is already a top-level Combat page and a top-level Builds page.
Let me know what you think. In terms of the dozen or so GUIDE threads in this forum where most of the reference content in the thread is conducive to a single wiki article, is this sort of by-hand conversion worthwhile? Not as the only copy of this stuff -- at least one of the scraping attempts can be the "main" version -- but as a readily available reference copy, that's somewhat easier to discover for random players on the internets.

NOTE: As it is a wiki, any user with a registered account can edit the page. So keep that in mind when weighing the pros/cons.

Only thing I don't like so far is when I posted a picture in the "show your inquisitor" thread it doesn't show up. It has to be reviewed. It's been an hour or so. If all the community moves over there, the "reviewers" will be so backed up posts won't be showing for weeks.

When the same thing happened to me, a moderator told me that after you post 5 replies, that monitoring is lifted. They did that to cut down on spammers.Only thing I don't like so far is when I posted a picture in the "show your inquisitor" thread it doesn't show up. It has to be reviewed.
