Since this will be the final epeen thread I'd like to give my final props to my PS3 brethren who all showed we were not to be scoffed at.

KB (our old school duos were very fun)
Smooth (we didn't know each other well or play much but I enjoyed the ones we did)
Isaeed (he never got the recognition he deserved but he was a beast of a player)
Cato (you are a great player no matter how much you deny it and it was a blast playing with you)
Layer1331 (old school PS3 guy who was a beast)

*Not including my close buddies* (and they know who they are), these are the players I played with and saw serious potential in :

EmanChrisB (I hate Volus but you wrecked with them and other classes)
Upperreality (quietly one of the best I ever came across who pushed me in any match we played together)
Oni (didn't play much but I always knew with you the matches were much quicker)
Loufi (solo beast and our few matches you showed me why)


I'd love to write up my thoughts on every damn one of my friends but truth is I met so many awesome players and people that I'd be typing this all night. I love all of you and the memories we made (rage gels, rage missiles, dealing with those horrible loading screens and glitches together).

TTT for her countless truly crazy solos
Derbeer for his claymore runs (the reload hidings on his novaguard clayMOAR solos are perfect)
The Nick 01 for his insane records
Alquinn for being the ultimate GI master
Tupari and CorerGaming for the insane speedruns
FM_ the ultimate volus master, the biggest scorer I've ever played with and an awesome soloer
TNS for being incredible with seemingly weak kits (like melee drell vanguard) and excellent overall
Dimitrie_FR the living multiplayer bible and a legendary player
And the most impressive : PWET

I was going to quote jmac's comments about you and second them, with the proviso that I could never split you and cato in terms of raw destruction. And modesty. You both always double(d) my score, and while I'm only a scrub, that only happens to me with either of you two. The great thing is it never seemed to bother you. Thanks for the games man, and I hope we have some more before the servers go down. If we could only persuade cato to try his DS4 controller, I'd almost pay money to share a lobby with the two of you. 

 

I could list a load of other players who are better than me (all of the AHF for a start), and upper and q5 together had to be seen to be believed, but for me it's never really been about who is better, more who I gel with. I think FireRider and I made for a decent pair, and he also showed me the glory of the PPR/Jugg, but I've never had more fun than in games with QMR and Mordokai. I'd never heard of anyone rage-quitting to go and get more missiles, and the first time it happened with QMR I nearly lost my **** laughing. I should add that it's not just about (rage-)gelling with QMR - she is vastly superior to me as a player, but I enjoy the thought that we are a little bit like Tali and Wrex when we're in full swing. And as for that scrub Mordo, Asarigasms FTW, bro!

You guys should really start to understand that the skills of a player are not necessarily exactly reflected by the scoreboard.

Still, since you said yourself that you couldn't get ahead of FTFTL, I can tell you with near certainty that if you played with me when I was still playing this game, you'd be second on that board you are so interested in. Even if you spawn nuked extraction with all your missiles... Didn't help him, wouldn't help you.

We can still play together if you'd like. You shouldn't take it as a competition, since I've played this game exactly once in the last 6 months, and I forgot most about it. But I'd still enjoy that, regardless of the board.

As for the topic of the thread... Since people are actually seriously answering this, I guess I'll give it a try myself too, later on.

To all of my PS3 friends that I played a lot of games with :

MaxCrushmore (watching you greatly improve as a player made me proud. I enjoyed every single duo no matter how shitty the match was (*London/Cerberus/Vorcha duo*).

Dragon (many laughs were had in our matches). TSent/Mattock 4 lyfe bro.

Grunt (Got Wraith? ). No matter what you think, you weren't ever a burden when we played or duo'ed and I'm always down for more.

Sumarizook (oh man he'll never see this but we were inseparable for many months back in 2012). Plenty of frustration as we both learned the game together and having you in my squad allowed me breathing room to raise my skills gradually.

Leonel00 (scrub lol. Another old school friend who was pretty dang good)

Swoopz80 (stopped playing early on but thanks for being my first ME3 buddy and for directing me to a lil ol forum called BSN)

Chainsling (my TWD buddy who is pretty good himself and retired...or so he says )

SackedJedi (That message you sent after our first match ever was funny and encouraging at the same time.) Thanks for the kind words.

Clyde (we had our differences at one point but was happy we squashed it and went on to share passionate enjoyment of many topics like rap battles, football, FF etc). Hold it down man.

DarkFaerie (thanks for always being caring and having that sexy irish accent).

cronshaw8 (cool dude and solid player). Eagles still suck though...

Pwet inspired me to challenge myself even more (plat level 1 Turian and Phaeston) and is definitely the best of the best hands down!

 

 

P.S.

I used to play a lot of plat with level 1 and common or uncommon weapons, so I'm very sorry if I ended up in your lobby and frustrated the crap out of you, but I had so much fun.

Since I started playing this game in the summer of 2012, I have encountered many quality players and people, both on BSN and on PSN. Since I'm about to start dropping names, there are many, so if I forgot someone or don't mention everyone, it is not an intentional slight.

 

My first playing partners were my brother, Davion, and our friend, SaphironX .. we kind of learned the game together. They stopped playing before 2013 was over ..

 

Then i started teaming up with Rluct (BSN = Lucky) and TheFranken (BSN = DasFranken). While people on BSN talked about playing Platinum with non OP builds / weapons, these were the first guys I ever really saw do it and be successful. They were both very good ..

 

After that group kind of went separate ways (I think Franken is married to the Borderlands franchise), I started teaming up with Q5y###. He was already a really good player, but over the next couple years he turned into a true rampager. It seems like everyone I know who started doing high level solos improved so fast.

 

Over the years there have been several other unbelievable players I have met and played with.

 

The first few games I played with ISaeed I think were the most dominant displays I had ever seen (to that point - early 2013) and Didacuscarr and I only played a handful of matches together, but he was the one who I did my first Gold duo's with, which gave me lots of confidence.

 

I played a handful of matches with KnockingBr4in, he was ridiculous. But there were so many others, Pint was a beast, FatherofPearl improved as much as anyone I had ever seen play this game, and graduated to beast level himself. ProseticLimbs probably never got the forum recognition she deserved for how good she was (she is also super nice and friendly, somewhat in contrast to her BSN persona lol). First time I pugged into a match with Wngmv (BSN = Chicken Wing) she just obliterated everything.

 

More recently I have played matches with Evntln, super beast, Xan, super beast, Ark, super beast, Mexximal, super beast, Oni, super beast, Upper Reality, super beast, even met QMR for a few matches, they're definitely beast category themselves. Playing matches with you lot is like guaranteed 15 min platinum games. And there are so many others, guys like Fuenf, you act like you're not that good, making jokes about my backpack, lol .. your backpack is just fine, Firerider, Razer, Nightman, Sinful and so many others who are quality players and flat out great teammates, and make this game more enjoyable.

 

On and off over the last few years TMB and I will team up (especially over the last year or so). In my opinion, TMB's Drell Adept / Claymore is the most dominant kit ever played by anyone on PSN. I have seen many great players absolutely dominate this game, but none have done it to that level IMO. Dude, you're ridiculous. Your Drell Vanguard / Claymore and you Justicar/Shotgun combos are also right up there, as well as several other kits. FYI, you'd be impressed with Q5y's Justicar ...

Well since this might be the last thread of it's kind, I'll answer it seriously for XBOX 360

 

Disciple888. Considered one of the top players on xbox undoubtedly. We pugged plat together almost everyday for a season. A solid player who would walk over my down corps and never res me and took a pic whenever he managed to outscore me for evidence  .. 

 

DanDCD.. Also one of the best. Just a beast with almost every kit. I Always loved pugging plat with him and had no issues trying out gimpy setups with him on the team..

 

MaxDmian Things weren't always smooth between us on the forums but as a player I have nothing but respect. Also one of the best.

 

Clyde.. Also a solid player who's hard work to better himself made him stand out from everyone else IMO..

 

Ferocious Panda.. Would just wreck house with his smooth anime voice haha!!

 

SurelySue.. 1 of the top 3 in my book and that's saying something. Beast overall with any kit she used

There were several great players I came across in 2012 before forum members seemed to make the bulk of the dwindling player base. One of them was Murphys Law. He might have been boring with his constant Geth Infilt./Scorpion set-up, but he had lots of potential to wreck things when trying other early game cycle kits. This was before all of the equipment upgrades, before I even knew how to quick reload with a claymore, and when there was that extra room on Glacier where all the wimps went to hide.

Also ChristieCracker. Calmest voice ever but she kicked butt with that Asari matriach character who's name escapes me.

hey i liked that room, it was a great spot to force spawns for nuking or for grenades, also back when fire explosions actually took skill to pull off it was a great room of boom. also with a team of biotics especially when brutes spawned there because they would spawn in front almost all the time and trap nearly everything behind them.
