So, who exactly at this War Table are they talking about? Because if it's my Inquisitor that description would only fit with one of the ones I been playing, which is Fintan. He cuts to the chase, doesn't bullshit, he's not a jerk, he has compassion and kindness where he can. But he's guarded when it comes to emotions, because he feels he cannot let the weight of those situations affect him or people see him affected that way.

 

While Ignace, I'd never call blunt. He hugged Varric, he was almost always sympathetic, and did a lot of "Good" Sit in Judgment decisions. He didn't make many hard decisions mainly sympathetic decisions. And was very caring. I wouldn't say he was blunt, he was always trying to make sure someone felt right in the situation. Ironically though, Ignace had last minute Solas friendship. Like right before taking down Corypheus, was when Solas like Ignace. It was weird, for most of the game Solas was neutral with Ignace. Didn't help Ignace was Andrastrian and kept giving everyone mercy.

 

If, it's not my Inquisitor, then, who are they talking about? I've always been curious.

Doubt it's the IQ, it would limit RP.  Is there a version using 'she' instead of 'he'?

No, it's what Cullen says in the war table. Copied it word for word from the subtitles.

What I meant was, if you're playing with a female IQ then he'd say 'she' and then you'd know he meant the IQ specifically.

Oh I always play Male Inquisitors, so I don't know if the dialogue changes or not to see if he's talking about the Inquisitor

For some reason, I've always assumed it was Knight-Captain Rylen, stationed at Griffon Wing Keep. He is in fact a straight-forward, blunt type, which you see when you talk to him.

And if it's Rylen, it actually makes sense why Leliana asks Cullen about it.

Maybe first mention of Rylen? There are war table missions with him that do not require capturing Griffon Wing Keep.

Totally theorizing. Never really paid attention when that war table comment happens.

Rylen has been working under Cullen since the cleanup of Kirkwall. He tells you about that if you question him at Griffon Keep, so he has been sending reports to Cullen long before you capture Griffon Keep.
