Bioware has no say in ME 2 or ME 3 being backwards compatible (bc) on the xbox one. If I member correctly (99% sure) the publisher is the one who decides if they want there game to be bc. The publisher for ME 1 was Microsoft Game Studios, so that is why it was one of the first bc games. If the game is not published by Microsoft, then Microsoft can do nothing to make any other game bc unless the publisher wants to.

Weird that EA would say that, seems like they would love remasters since they could scrap the bottom of the barrel for extra cash to make.

EA is now the publisher of Mass Effect 1 as well.  I am not sure about current delays, but I know for the longest time there was an issue with the backwards compatibility mode of multiple disk games and only was fixed a couple of months ago.  EA does have the full Mass Effect trilogy for Origin Access on the PC which makes me think that there is a much better chance of seeing it on EA access then a re-release.

Edit:

I was incorrect Microsoft Studios according to the backwards compatible list is the publisher of Mass Effect 1 still, it must be for the PC EA is the publisher.  There are a couple of games on the backwards compatible list that are published by EA.

Amen to that. The industry would be better off without them and their business practices

I want it. A huge remaster with frostbite graphics and better hairstyles. Rebuild the game with everything the same but graphics etc. Maybe add an ending or two to ME3 or somethin.

I'd settle for a version of ME2/ME3 with the DLC all included, honestly.

Not any time soon I think.

Maybe after all the DLC for Andromeda is released, and we get a special ultimate edition of the game.

I looked it up and that is because ME 1 came out on Xbox 360 on Nov, 16 2007. EA brought Bioware on Oct. 11 2007 and ME 1 came out on Windows May 28th 2008. That is the source of the confusion since ME 1 on 360 is the only non-EA published ME.

Nah, I think Xbox will make ME2 and ME3 backwards compatible before Andromeda comes out.

I really don't know.EA said they weren't planning to but who knows?
Hell knows I d love to see a collection with ALL dlc included but I don't know if it will ever happen. Maybe because of the ME3 backlash, re releasing a controversial title again might not be the best move but I m sure the collection would sell a lot.

That is a lot of man hours to make something which is why I don't think EA would risk re-releasing the games again since it could cost as much as a brand new game to fill that wish list and it would need to at the very least break even with their forecasts before they would even try.
