I've heard it's a good series, and apparently there's a new entry being released, so I was just curious, will the first three be released for PS4 beforehand?
It seems interesting enough, but I just don't think I'll bother with a title that's already four entries in without going through the first three.
I searched around online, but most of what I came across was relatively old, and all of it was contradictory -- one article stating it is, one stating it might, another stating it isn't.
Also, I tried posting this under the relevant "Mass Effect Franchise" section, but for some reason there wasn't an option to start a new topic. Anyway, thanks for any information.
Are the Mass Effect games going to release for PS4?

The current chances lf a Mass Effect remaster are very, very, low. I would not ocunt on it.
That being said, the next game is it's own thing. While it share the same universe and past history, they severed the narrative for practical and marketing purposes. The practical part is that it's impossible to write a story that could take place after the third game whatever the ending as they are way to different and absolute to do this. The marketing part is to be able to sell it to people like you, the huge number of people who didn't play the first trilogy. Feeling like you need to go back and play three rather long RPG to start the new one is a daunting task.
To b honest even the games pf the actual trilogy are very much independant from one another despite the effort put into tying your decisions from previous games in the next.
So, should you wish to play Mass Effect Andromeda, you really won't need to play the three other games except to catch a few references here and there.
Should you choose to play them anyway, then it will probably be it's own reward.
