So while I'm merely one measly past- super fan- that means that I will not purchase 6 new copies of the entire DA and ME series I was going to for a new pc I was planning on building.
I ran into the same thing. I played the ME trilogy on my Xbox 360, and bought all the story DLC for ME2 and ME3 on that system.
Later on, once I determined the PC was going to be my exclusive gaming system going forward, I purchased ME and ME2 on steam, and ME3 on Origin. I bought all three when they were on sale for a combined $35. I thought that was a reasonable price for buying three games I already owned on another system.
My issue was with regards to the DLC. DLC for the ME games is bought using Bioware Points...and they never go on sale. Nor have the DLC prices fallen. So it turns out I needed to pay close to an additional $100 for the DLC I wanted. For downloadable content I already owned on another system.
I contacted customer support to see if some leeway could be found. After much discussion, the answer basically was "no", but I received a 15%-off voucher towards buying Origin product. So I thought, "hey, I can use that to buy the Bioware Points I need, reducing the DLC cost from $100 to $85." Better than nothing. But no, you can't use the voucher to buy Bioware Points. So then I thought, "hey, I can still use this to get 15% off Andromeda when it releases." Better than nothing. But no, you can't use the voucher to buy new product.
At this point, I was so pissed that I just gave up.
I ended up buying all the DLC at full price. Normally I wouldn't have caved like that, but ME is truly one of my favourite gaming experiences of all time, and I wanted a full collection on my PC.
I'm going to be really pissed if EA now offers a Supreme Edition of all three games with all DLC for $50....
